i abhor the scorpions :x

now, im not saying they are crap, i have no opinion in that regard.
just, even reading the bloody name in your post means i now have the whistling bloody intro to winds of change stuck in my head :x
every time! and it will be for bloody days too
:hihi: Scorpions just keep reworking the same songs and giving them new titles, but they did bring us Uli Jon Roth...scorpions are a show band and a light show band, exactly what I had no interest in becoming...still, Sails of Charon  (better when Uli did it solo)

I'm not into "the scorps" either, but, I could fake it if it meant spending a lovely evening with a hot metal chick in pleather pants. And by lovely I meant...well...you know...and by evening I meant....I don't really think that I should have to explain this...right?

Thin Lizzy
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

well we'll have to agree to disagree, that was one of the first times I noticed Uli, I got a ton of respect for Uli Jon Roth (except when he sings)

If I saw Led Zeppelin live at the age of 14 that would be the best thing that could have happened to my pathetic life.

At that age, my testicles were at their prime. Half of Led Zeppelin's music triggers the testicles. You need testicles to fully appreciate the intense energy that the early Led Zeppelin songs do to testicles? It sounds sexist but it could probably be measured scientifically?

depends on the Thin Lizzy...I saw them in the 70's open for queen with Gary Moore, I am a huge Gary Moore fan but I marginally care for Black Rose. Thin Lizzy is kind of like zep to me in the regard that it's apparent immediately who they are when I hear them but both I can only take in limited doses because something just gets old in their sound.

not when I was young and learning by bouncing mud between two tape decks with two speakers and two mics, didn't have no drum machine, no keyboards, but we could try to layer riffs like that...it was indeed inspiring to me at the time, especially when I got my 1st 4-track
