I decided to pull the trigger on the special discount deal for V Collection 6 targeted to owners of Waves products. The V Collection 6 has been discounted by 50% a number of times before by Arturia, but I had never bothered to take a look at the product until I received the e-mail promotion from Waves. So far, I am really liking this virtual instrument collection a lot; it might just be one of the best virtual instrument purchases I have ever made. When you just need some decent presets for a track, the Analog Lab 3 plug-in is suitably effective. :tu:

The Arturia Pigments virtual instrument looks and sounds good, but unfortunately it is not part of V Collection 6.

That's a great deal even if you just use 5 of those out of the bunch, that works out to around $50 a piece. My favorites are the Matrix-12 V, DX7 V and Synclavier V.

And if you like and use all 21 of the bundled instruments, that works out to be about $12 an instrument.

I have liked a lot of presets I have listened to so far for those. I watched the supporting video for the Synclavier V (everyone seems to pronounce its name differently); it is impressive to see the original programmer involved and excited about it.

It seems they'll never pull out an upgrade deal. My upgrade price is still the same as the full price as deal...
Its a better idea anyway to wait for V 7 or 8...

A upgrade deal happened in december, I think. And I was without money back then! :dog:

The December deal was not attractive at all as far as I remember, unless you'd upgraded from V2 or 3... Lets see if V7 adds some nice extras... I spent too much already anyway...

I got the upgrade from V5 to V6 for $99 back in November, before that the lowest upgrade price I've seen was $199.

Just came to post that I got the same deal in November.

Is the OneKnob deal worth it? Filter and Driver seem cool and I'm happy to use "dumbed-down" tools as long as the sound & usability is good. They seem like decent tools for quick & easy adjustments on the less critical tracks in a mix.

The November deal I must have missed, that would have been reasonable...

Did you log in to your account, then visit the product-page in the shop? You should see a much better price, I think.

Post

Yes I did, the upgrade price is 249...

This might be an even better deal, once it's available:
