For me it has to be Motorhead on my birthday, either 82 or 83...in a Boston club. We made it through two songs...

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Girls Under Glass. Not my cup of tea anyway, but they could at least have had the decency to make it less... painful.hink wrote:of a atleast semi known band...not some Joe Schmows and the blows from down the street.

Closely followed by Terminal Choice. Rammstein meets Marilyn Manson only really really bad. The pyrotechnics (spits on floor) going pop really loud didn't help much, either.
Man, what am I doing on these goth-parties, anyway?

GUG is decent at times on album - never seen them live though.tetraplan wrote: Girls Under Glass. Not my cup of tea anyway, but they could at least have had the decency to make it less... painful.

and what did you think a Terminal choice show would be like
worst concert - by far - for me was sheep on drugs in 96(?) closely followed by cubanate.
though it's tough sometimes to judge - industrial bands have an 80/20 chance of sucking live... Covenant rocked the house though

Filter. I missed the support act (Shihad (now Pacifier)) which are an awsome NZ band. And the sound Filter had was just shit. Way too loud for the small venue. Plus most of their songs suck. I only went because there were a couple of songs playing on the radio that I really liked at the time.

I went to the festivalette because the year before my socks were blown off by the likes of Asche, The [LAW-RAH] Collective and Converter.
No such luck one year later.

My bro said he paid $45 to see john digweed live. he was 2 hours late. The DJ that went on in john's time was a terrible mixer who spun horribly cheesey hard trance. When Digweed finally came on, he played slow, boring prog house for an hour and then left. I'm surprised to hear this when his best friend Sasha has put on a show while throwing up sick.

Front Line Assembly (99' or around that time). They played a song or two, and then they disappeared. An hour later they said the show was over. Apparently their minidisc player died.

Mister Big (opening for Rush) in Philly.
Yes, Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert are incredible musicians alone, but when you put them together and they tried to write actual songs (instead of individual "watch me shred" solos, which got tiring real fast too)...the results were incredibly lame, predictable stuff filled with every played-out postured cliche in the book.
Worse: in what must've been a sudden fit on self-punishment,
....I sat through their act two nights in a row (what was I thinking??)...and the singer used the same pathetically postured shtick they did at exactly the same point in the show the night before, of "Hey Philly, I wanna tell you about the gurrrrl of my dreams! She makes me wanna get dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwn on mah kneeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEEeeeeesss!!..." as the band punctuated his "I really wish I was David Lee Roth!" -style yows and yelps with big E power-chords complete with pouty poses.
From all the booing in the crowd, I got the feeling there was a lot of other people there who had heard the same shtick the night before too (and also wondering "what the hell was I thinking??")....
Proving once again that combining good musicians together into a "super group" doesn't always yield good results....

Virus, shhiiite brit metel supporting the mighty Celtic frost, f**k off c**ts.
f**king Donnington 'monsters of rock' crappola. Waste of f**king time, it's full of smelly c**ts and the PA was f**king shite. Some c**t from one of the poodle metel bands (wasp?) fell on his arse when hit by a bottle of piss though, highlight of the day.
