Anyone remember Automatic Double Tracking? - used a lot in the Sixties to thicken up vocals etc. I think it was just a tape machine with record and play heads spaced apart so that an extra copy of the signal was played a few milliseconds after - no chorusing or anything going on. Anyone know of an existing plugin I can use to do that?

WOuld a delay plugin work, just set the delay time very small and feedback so a single delayed part only is added?

Just a thought

Voxengo's Tempo Delay has a preset for that purpose, I think.
I imagine it can be done with any decent delay.
