IncarnateX, hello??.. I've provided the references by the scholars who did the research and published it. Are you expecting to read musicology on nature and science or by me?... no, but you read it on the relevant journals where it was published and the academic books where it was published. I will end the discussion now, because I haven't anything further to add, nobody is paying me to do this and I feel people are just trolling around and insulting me for wanting to share knowledge. Everything is there for people to read. Again see figures 1 and 2 in savage paper. if you don't find any of this "relevant" or if you find it mambo-jambo, I'm sorry. I did my best to share what I knew based on all these readings. They've answered many questions I had myself about musics. If my condensed prose is confusing perhaps that's my fault for not being native english speaker. Then I can only refer to the originals, take care.

Savage' Lomax revision (see fig 1 and 2 for systematized findings):

Lomax (mainly chapter 25, but also folk song style chapter):

Deutsch, psychology of music (to see the difference between this is musicology, great book on sound):

Bruno Nettl on the scope of musicology and questions already solved (great survey):

Sweet child of boundless ignorance
Science is not about making references to scientific sources you “feel” are right and then take any consequence from it, even though it does not follow logically. No, Scientific use of sources means you approach them critically, systematically, with sound skepticism, one argument at a time, and not at least show how one makes -or are unable to make- consistent logical conclusions from them. You have done none of that but rambled about as if Lomax sayings are to be taken as fact by default. And as far as your presentation and use of Deutch concerns, it is an insult to all intelligent life of Earth beyond Trumps worn out socks.

Keep going the route if you feel like, there may be some with a score below the 25% percentile on a wais test , who is going to buy it. But I will pass, thank you.

If you want to share your opinion, give it as such. This pseudo-science shit is not going to help you validate it but will backfire, as it does now.

Well, if you want to hinder that kind of reaction, you should take more take when using a word like “frauds” and imply that this signifies those who do not agree with you.

Shit. Now I have again gotten myself into a mental state where I have compulsive fantasies about KVR being the teletubbies’ cave and me throwing handgranates into to it to get those annoying little pricks. In this wishful fantasy, I am so tearburstingly happy when they all go off that it frightens me. I am not like that at all. I am a goodhearted, educated, calm, polite and emphatic person ffs, should be obvious to anyone, so how come I always end up here?

Something to do with that word “science” for sure. Tik-tok-tik-tok-tik-tok and BOOOOM! Here we go.

Fck. Not even that one. Corrected.

So, where were we? Something about that melodies are important in some cultures but not in others. Even musciologo and I can agree to that, so let us try one more time from this point.

And sorry about Lala, but I hate all of them without discrimination.

Post

yeah, was that even up for debate?

knowing why some cultures use resonance and drones as the basis for their musics, now that "is" interesting.

or rhythm of course.
