The only one I’m kinda familiar with is Poise, but that’s not available any more.

Surely there must be similar plugins out there...?

edit: Found one, no problem.

Try Native Instruments Battery. It's a great drum machine and also a sampler with a lots of features.

Looks good, but a bit pricey. Anything else? I mean, even just a sampler with pads would do.

Hell, even just a thing that will accept samples, and has pads...

I mostly just use Ableton Live’s native drum rack, Simpler device, and sequencer. It’s effortless and tightly integrated into the DAW.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Not a drum machine ..... Renoise Redux is $60 I think . It's more of a Sampler with a tracker ( arranger ) built in to (... Meaning it doesn't have the MPC 16 pad GUI layout like Poise ) .... Redux is basically the Sampler portion of Renoise but they also built a tracker into it . You can also record audio right into the Redux too . An afternoon with the PDF manual , computer and , YouTube and it's easy ... And I have a little ADHD and anxiety ...so if I can do it u can too .

I guess you're not bullcrapping about it being easy. I don't see those two as being the perfect recipe for using a tracker type sequencer. :hihi:

Oh I don't use the tracker part of it ... Oh heck no ...
