Only time I went that far in one move I did cold. You rebuild preferences, it may simply inherit them. It definitely does from 9 to 10. I have 20 to 25 things which aren't the defaults. I save key commands and Logical Editor, and templates every time on my desktop. Chances are pretty good you don't have to do anything, if you have rebuilt them how you like it beforehand.
