A light hearted look at the click bait generation.

Click bait is when users post tempting (for the weak) titles enabling them to get monitization payments on their YouTube channels.

Here are a few examples of click bait titles, these could also be confused with people basically thinking their way is better than yours. :hihi:

"The #1 Problem with a home studio is....."
"Your home studio is killing your music career"
"What makes this song great...."
"Insert artist here Reaction Videos" (who give a sh..).
"5 Things you should never do in a professional studio"
"5 Steps to making money in your studio"
"Does Melody Even Matter??"

This should get you started, feel free to add any of your own click bait examples.

Lot's of political stuff, like PERSON X FREAKS OUT/HAS MELTDOWN AT PERSON Y! watch the video, and see there's nothing resembling a 'freak out or meltdown.'

IMO, 'click bait' is merely an extension of newspaper headline writing. Headlines are meant to draw the reader into an article, to, wait for it, sell more newspapers.

The problem is, we're inundated with this now given the access to countless sources, all trying to make a buck. In the midst of this competition, hyperbole has gotten out of hand.

Hey! They're posts by the legend that is Rick Beato! Have respect! ;)

I wouldn't call them clickbait but have watched a couple and, while explaining exactly how the songs constructed, what the chords are etc etc, he tends to fail in the stated objective; explaining what makes the song great. Y'know why these chords fit the melody so well, why this change sets up the chorus, stuff like that. Maybe that's an impossible task and all subjective ultimately...
