I'm currently using Cubase 9.5. Is Cubase 10 worth the £85 upgrade price and hows everyone finding the update? I like the look of the new channel strip.

I like it... Although it didn't really add anything new for me. The main thing is, I had T as 1 spare key command, which is now happily the new add track feature.
Take a look
If you upgrade every year regardless, it's less of a learning curve for the new features. If a lot changes in 1 year it can be too much and you'll miss learning something in the skip. And, it supports the brand you want to see do well. If we don't buy it... it wont.

I don't normally upgrade every year, however, I have been thinking of just upgrading it each year with Cubase. I dont think the new upgrade will add too much for me as well, however, it does look like some small features could be useful like the snapshot feature and the new channel strip.

They should have fixed that workflow the minute Live and Studio One showed up. They keep milking it to get the upgrade bucks. At some point, I expect them to imitate Dorico's interface.
Not having seen 10, the easy audio alignment might be very good for those that re-amp, and the MPE stuff is a little better. I'm still trying to figure out whether "forthcoming ARA support" is a guarantee that it will be added to 10.
But other than that, I don't see anything major. Just better. Enough to entice though.

The workflow in Cubase is actually better in far more use cases than either of those. I have no use for a clip launch approach, and for any other use Cubase has a superior work flow to Live. I actually can't f'n stand live. Studio One has a very limited number of things that are actually workflow enhancements and are missing countless things that Cubase does well. I sort of don't mind Studio One, but you keep hitting "if it would just xxx".
So, my opinion 100% the opposite of yours.
EDIT: by the way ... I don't think Cubase is perfect or anything. I totally agree that there are things that need an overhaul. But, for my uses it rocks.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

It's really subjective. If you go to the Steinberg Cubase forums, there's a huge thread about all the needed workflow improvements and they mention Studio One numerous times as an example. And it seems the feedback is from mostly loyal Cubase users (as opposed to people just complaining for the sake of complaining):SJ_Digriz wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:16 pmNo No No ..jonljacobi wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:01 pm They should have fixed that workflow the minute Live and Studio One showed up.

I think you would find the same for any other DAW out there, if you take a look at their forums.rlared wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:25 pmIt's really subjective. You're right, they would all point to Studio One 4 as an example of good workflowchk071 wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:30 pmI think you would find the same for any other DAW out there, if you take a look at their forums.rlared wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:25 pmIt's really subjective. In Cubase forums, people would point at anything else but Cubase, in Studio One forums, people would point at anything else but Studio One, and on Ableton forums, people would point at anything else but Ableton. That's how the internet works.
Now imagine you'd put all that in a mixing pot. You'd end up with a huge melange of everything, which tastes like crap, but makes you go to the toilet after a minute. Customers know so much better.

This is true. Though you can't "throw the baby out with the bathwater". There are some valid comments in there from professional users, no?chk071 wrote: Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:39 pm In Cubase forums, people would point at anything else but Cubase, in Studio One forums, people would point at anything else but Studio One, and on Ableton forums, people would point at anything else but Ableton.
