is there anything else that can do the same thing?
ie create a midi backing track by analysing the audio input.some instant accompaniment for my 3 year old boys songs.is it possible with midi vst's?

i've started a band (called window)with my 3 year old boy, 8)i wanted him to lead with as little intervention from as poss.i know there's some audio to midi plugs that can transcribe his masterpieces(google-eyed monster,mummy's comin' back,i love apple sauce,etc),but i couldn't think of a plugin that can analyse the notes then generate a simple chords,bass,or drums to go with it.seems like it should be relatively easy to do.is this possible already?i just couldn't think if it could be done with midi plugins...anyone know?

AMC sounds like the ticket,but i couldn't get it to work.

seen a few free midi-isers.. failing that, perhaps you can send your audio to someone with a host that converts.. many of them do.

preferably someone w/o dialup ;) but that's me if need be.

but afa creating automatic accompaniment? i've done a bit of stuff like this in se.. the question is.. what kind? tarnce or crunk? it can get reeeeeallly involved fast..

actually.. it could be done in se.. helluva lot of work.

i thought just sustained chords would be ok,then use an arp or gate(or your wicked strummer).it could give you a random chord progression with a 'try again' button.quite simple would work i think.
the percussion bit could maybe use the original midi line as a emphasis and some random possibility sliders?
