Excellent news, thanks!

Anybody here own both Patchwork and Bidule? I need something to host Kontakt as a MIDIFX for accessing its SO many cool scripted sequencers, and can't decide which to get…first. I'll probably eventually get both, but if I start with the right one (the one with the best most-powerful/easiest-to-use balance, that runs Kontakt easily n this way), maybe I'd never get around to getting the other. Appreciate any feedback!

TIA,
dpc

EDIT: Got Patchwork, and it's working GREAT with Kontakt, adding all K's built-in and several great 3rd-party scripts and at least a dozen very powerful MIDI-scripted libraries as MIDI FX to my collection. Sure, I wish Apple would give this feature some love, but now it's feeling like a cup running over anyway…

About time!
Wish they’d update for high resolution displays (they still haven’t, right?).

List in first post updated with ones I can confirm to be working in Logic as a MIDI FX.

It’s a shame Apple doesn’t pay more attention to this themselves, by featuring it and even making more first party FX, because it’s a nice feature to have in DAWs. Would also help if Logic actually recorded the MIDI output.

Yes, but you can do that right now for free, and very well, with AudioCR - Midi FX Freeze.

Midi FX Freeze is no longer available in the App Store

There is a way to send midi out to another track to capture via IAC. This link had a video. Funny enough, it also mentions the now-defunct Midi FX Freeze

Architect from Loomer is a new midi fx plugin that's really worth a look at.
Its seriously powerful.
Open beta testing is going on at the moment <https://www.loomer.co.uk/architect.htm>.
There's no much presets, macros, and the like for now, but people participating to the beta testing are adding some clever presets/fragments/Lua scripts.
The dev is also involving pretty actively to listen/respond to questions/requests, etc.
Here's the threads.

So that's been updated now, cool! (Wasn't there in the first beta; I guess I'm not keeping up:)

Yes, there was many iterations so far.

Could also add the sequencers from HY-Plugins:

https://hy-plugins.com/plugins/vst/vst-instrument/

Or at least two of them, the HY-RPE and the HY-MPS2, not sure about HY-SeqCollection.

I missed that post. :dog:

The HY-SEQ16x3x2 works as well. Got the demo loaded right now, looking sharp on a 4K screen, can resize the window and everything.

So it turns out all four of those plug-ins work as MIDI FX. You can get the bundle for $100 too, good deal. 8)
