Cubase 10

Here's what it does here in Nuendo 8.3.2, an update released same day as the Cubase.
I never installed the content anew for this update; this is the same as having installed and subsequently deleted nearly all [Cubase] (except content I apparently needed a license for I didn't have). This is whether I instantiate it via VST Rack, Instrument Track or a preset in Media Bay.

It comes with the Mac installer, and it will install _everything_ unless you specify not to. Massive amounts of crap.3ptguitarist wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2019 1:32 amI only installed the main cubase pro 10 trial file on Steinberg's downloading tool. It didnt give me an option to download halion content. Should halion content come with the main installer? If not, where do I find it?
It should reside additionally in a Content folder in the installer, but again, I don't know what a Windows installer looks like.

I saved a copy of the installer when I was still trying to sort out this [Padshop Pro] MPE content and what license I get where (I got tired);
Cubase's looks exactly like this here: EDIT: note how everything is checked; to NOT install the content has to be unchecked by the user.
as installed it's this (parent directory is "Steinberg", there is no distinction actually Nuendo vs Cubase here): With everything in the installer it's a great long scrolltastic experience, this is all I left on.
Actually I wonder if something is wrong with your installation rather.

It looks a little different than that. I simply installed pro 10 and the update. I didnt install any content packs and didnt know I had to say the time. There is a section in the installer where you can install halion 6, halion se stuff, etc., but I'm unsure if I need to install some of that.jancivil wrote: Wed Mar 13, 2019 4:03 pm I saved a copy of the installer when I was still trying to sort out this [Padshop Pro] MPE content and what license I get where (I got tired);

My trial runs out today if it didnt already yesterday. Not sure if I want cubase. I might end up getting ableton live 10. But the bugs that I've experienced do bother me a bit. I'm sure cubase is good with advanced audio recording features. Some people like the original poster may benefit from that.

Well, to use the Halion SE at all, it's the content in the installer or it's not really installed.
You're calling something you have to do and didn't a bug, it looks like.
Halion 6 trial is a different license.
You're welcome btw, but I won't have the time next time.

I find that Cubase updates are usually the best money I spend in my studio. I like Cubase 10. It has a crisp, fast feel, and the GUI has a nice clean look.
There is one change that I don't understand: arguably, my most used features are duplicate event, repeat event, and fill loop. These all used to be accessible with a simple right click drop down menu. Now only the "duplicate" feature is accessible with a right click. Repeat and fill loop are now only accessible from the main menu drop down. Why? I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but it really can break workflow.
Cheers

A bug is when your issue can be replicated per se, other people have exactly that same issue in the same order of events.
It looked like you were browsing Retrologue, but I don't get most of what that's supposed to be just watching that.
So, when I did the 30-day trial for C10, I was able to instantiate Halion SE with none of its content present and the issue was normal, it said to install it. I was able to browse, just not load, so: Not replicated here. I don't have a C10 license currently active, but I have the same currency in Nuendo version-wise and I showed what happened.
The other normal functionality is not broken like the video appears to implicate.

You may want to present your issues at the Cubase.net or whatever forum to see to what extent it may be replicated.
If all that was broken you will find a major outcry.
