Sylenth1 comes Packaged with FL...?

I guess I was a little unclear with my post. My current set up is: serum for digital wavetable/basic fm synthesis, operator for more complex fm, and DIVA for when I want something that sounds more analog since I don't use any hardware synths. I've always liked sylenth1 but have never been able to justify the cost due to the fact that I already own serum which I use for chords and leads. If serums CPU becomes an issue. I never compared Diva to Sylenth1 I was just looking for peoples opinions of how it would fit in my current vst setup, especially with Serum being so popular in today's market. From what I got out of this, I think sylenth1 would be a good synth to have for CPU intense situations such as big chord stacks with lots of unison, or for when I want its flavour. I am still a big fan of sylenth1's filters, especially on chords, but I still cant talk myself into paying the full price especially as a student who owns serum. I think in the meantime I'll try to take advantage of fabfilters student discounts before I graduate and then pick up sylenth1 either second hand or whenever it goes on Sale just to get it out of my system. I think we all have that guilty pleasure lol

If your main concern is CPU use and a driving force to get Sylenth1 is that just for chords then there are less expensive alternatives like Synth1, Dune 3 (its more expensive but it gives you much more then low cpu use), Viper (virus emu) and so on.

Also you can just use jp8080 oscillator on medium quality setting in Diva its not that cpu intensive. Oroyou can use Draft quality mode in Serum. Actually this is what i would do + maybe check Synth1.

im also wtf here :) my copy of FL signature bundle never came with sylenth1 :)

Post

Apple should bundle it with Logic.

Joking.

Got Sylenth when it first came out on Mac, still love it today. Today's price is maybe a bit high, but I don't think so, Lennard is still developing it and frankly it's a classic

Reminds me of when I was just starting and I was like 15 or 16 and got FL and all the videos on the ol YouTube acedemy had Sylenth and I’m like scrolling through all the menus getting mad because I have no idea where this synth was 😂

But no, as far as I know FL dosent have sylenth.

If it does someone has some explaining to do because that means I wasted a ton of money when I bought it.

That’s money I could of spent on food...Or clothes...Or...oh who am I kidding I’d just spend the money on a different plugin 😂😂

I think this is your primary worry here. If you like Sylenth1 then go for it! Stop spending time worrying and start spending time using Sylenth1 to make music.

Don't worry about overlap. You'd be surprised on how many musical tools you have deemed 'necessary' that overlap with other 'necessary' tools.

If using Sylenth1 makes you happy, then use it! Your rapport with a musical tool (whether a certain guitar, piano, VST, DAW etc) is priceless.

you don't get it cheaper that way... it is still too expensive
I just meant if you want to use it for a month or two to make a few songs or design presets, it is possible. When I bought it many years ago it was on a group buy they had making it much less $$, and a few years ago there was a sale for 40% off. Sometimes you may see it 2nd hand in the marketplace too.

Actually, I see it one sale there now:

It is. I always wonder how many more licenses Lennard could sell if he chose to offer Sylenth1 for 99 €. It is in general a thing i don't quite get. Why not make a 10 year plus old plugin cheaper? Why never develop a version 2? Total waste when you developed the most popular soft synth in history.

It's something i noticed with other soft synth developers as well. They don't seem to be very competent on the business side.

My PC died and now it's being fixed. When I get it back, I must install everything again...................
I checked the stuff I have and I think I'll just sell my every vsti I have, except sylenth and synthmaster.

I mentioned that I see it 2nd hand right now for about $100. Anyway if someone really wants it, they can give up a Starbucks drink every other week, or a pizza once a month etc. and then they'll have the money to buy it with their monthly plan. If you think this software is too expensive, check out hardware synths instead and try buying a Moog One. Might need a to sell a kidney to buy it though. :hihi:

It's confusing because although the name is Sylenth1 it is actually on version 3

Also there is a rent-to-own plan which is very reasonable.

Never really understod the 'most popular' thing tbh - it always seemed to me a pretty mediocre synth - so it's one I don't have.
