Exactly what I was going to write. Diva is 150$el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote: Sat Mar 23, 2019 12:45 pm I am sure some people still bang on about it, but it seems to be more the trend that people admit that in most cases it sounds better, but that the marginal increase in sound quality isn’t worth foregoing the benefits afforded by software. That sentiment seems even more true with the more recent releases of softsynths.
It sounds Almost like synths that cost in the Thousands of Thousands. It can be carried around in your laptop insted of in a giant case that weighs 70 pounds, It only needs a Daw instead of 12 electrical outlets.
When the sound of Diva (or Repro or Modular or Monark or Legend) for synths and stuff like the Slate Plugs, or Soft-tube stuff or any other high end plugin in that end, is so close, is it really worth the massive investment in hardware?
Honestly I’d only recommend it if someone had that money to burn. You got thousands and thousands of dollars well why not create a massive Eurorack, but for average producers on a budget analog doesn’t seem to be worth the huge extra investment.
Not trying to cause the thread to burn down, that’s just as I see it.

Just registered to say that is the best reply ever AnX! Congrats.
Best answer given to a KVR thread ever. Epic. The one answer that finally made some sense.

I think (if I understand vurt, which does anyone? ) it's about simthesisers
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Yeah, I like hardware a lot and I still can't take this as a good-faith question.
Sometimes
[software | hardware]
[sounds better | works better | is easier | is more flexible | is more fun | is more inspiring] *
than
[hardware | software]
.
* notice, all of these are subjective

You all are just mad that your pathetic “VsTs” can’t emulate this baby’s analog sonic goodness.
