Yeah... gonna download the demo and listen to the improved sound options...

Nice update, now looking sweet on retina (not all skin options).

Don't expect too much. Oversampling is oversampling. It doesn't change anything about the base sound, and the sound of the filters.

might get rid of that weak flabby low end

Can't see how it would. Doesn't oversampling only affect high frequency content?

Post

Hmmm... does the oversampling still have to be done via the Settingx.xml file? I don't see the option on the GUI...

I've seen it affect the low end... hell if I know why

Post

it probably improve filter response, basically it s what your saying with improving high frequency also.. the filters may be better when oversampled including antialias filter , "improving" the high freqs in a technical view

For the reading challenged from a page or two ago......

• Improved filter response and sound quality.

Yeah, because marketing is always right...

Apart from that, that could also be the higher oversampling. TBH, i can't hear a difference, but, i can't compare A/B now, of course. If anything, then the filter resonance behavior seems a tad improved. A tad.

It's fine though, Sylenth1 always sounded pretty good.

Thousands of tracks out there made with SYLENTH1 do you think anyone in the club at 4am bouncing about off their heads hears a difference OR even give a f**k? (Me thinks NOT) Lol  SYLENTH1 is a fab synth, always has been always will be.
It's all about how you use it, same as other synths people here (CHOOSE) to use :tu:

I don't really think of Sylenth1 as a bass synth. I mean you can use it for bass but it's not it's strong suite. It's pretty great for just about every other sound though.

You are already the second writing about the bass here...
Tbh, I never noticed any noticeable difference between the bass of any VSTi...

I would like to here an example with similar settings between Sylenth and a "suitable" bass synth...
Really curious about that...

I like to compare Sylenth1 to Spire, and, Spire definitely has more bottom end, and it also sounds more fat and creamy for bass sounds. I'd agree that Sylenth1 is pretty nice for most sounds, but lacks a bit in the bass department. If it works for you, great.
