For me, Spire is the only real competitor/successor to Sylenth... after the recent updates it´s more or less in a similar ballpark CPU wise, very easy to handle, great envelopes, great filters, great fx, great advanced features (compared to Sylenth)...
I find the sound even more powerful, so overall Reveal did really a great job... especially at that time it came out, Sylenth was ruling the EDM scene and establishing a new synth against this competition was for sure not easy...

Sylenth is still more used of having a bit more tabless GUI, overall easier use and becaused I am more used to it...

I just realized now that each factory bank has 4 pages after like 6 months of using it .. wow ..

Fair enough. I think Sylenth1 is still a bit less CPU taxing than Spire, so, it surely will stand its ground against it. I think Spire has a more modern, more spacey sound. The one thing i dislike a bit is the resonance behavior of the filters. I like the character of the filters very much, but, the resonance could behave a bit more analog.

I'm sure they already know this, and improve in Spire 2.

Sylenth isn't a very good Synth for Hip Hop though, when Sylenth adds Sample import it might be worth a buy.
In the meanwhile I would reccomend AIR Music Technology Hybrid 3 which I picked up for $1.00
