That would be great. Dunno if Urs ever considered contacting him.

I'm sorry to hear that. You're missing out on some great synths.

thats the thing, im not missing anything. ive been thru the lot and slimmed it down to what i need and prefer.

im not really into niche/gimmicky stuff, or stuff that boasts zdf/audio rate this and that in software. I also dont buy stuff cos its the next big thing or most popular. its a tool, and has a job to do.

As long as my host keeps going for another 10 years im good (no reason why it shouldn't)
That’s a reasonable position, and even enviable. I’m that way with my guitars. I have a few that I love and I have no urge to buy more or replace the ones I have.

But synthesis, to me and many others here, is about exploration and evolution. Some, like you, might think, “why burden yourself with the cost and learning curve of a new synth when you enjoy what you have?” You may as well ask, “why try a new restaurant?” Or “try a new cuisine? Or “why explore a new town?” “Why go to a new country?”

I hate traveling, but new synths are my thing.

well, there isnt much new these days, most new stuff is the same old same old dressed up as something diff using vague marketing terms

ive got a couple of good examples of most stuff i like, and they work a treat.

im always happy to learn new stuff, especially if im going to benefit, but it really has to bring something to the table

Sure, I agree with that. I look at the new SEM emulator as a good example of a pretty poor “me too” product with an oddly high price tag. There are gems out there, though.

I think that one of them will have to rename his product.
