Interested to hear if it works on Windows 10. I have it on Windows 7 but I'll need to switch to 10 at some point.

It runs without problems. I have it installed on the latest windows pro version. Also the library’s working.

I'm running Cubase 7.5 in Windows 10 .

At first Emulator X worked pretty OK. I converted a bunch of sf2 files to go with the plug-in. But after sometime I got issues loading the plug-in.

Sometimes projects didn't want to load until I removed the plug-in.

I don't know what caused this. But it was to much of a hassle so I just uninstalled it.

In general. It didn't felt very stable.

The sampler is quite old So I guess you'd be better of running it on an older system and / or DAW.

I had nothing but bad experiences trying to run it in Windows 10. For some reason, none of the Effects don't load or show up. I have several CDs from the Proteus pack - They load but the ROMs don't because they are encrypted.

Patches that I made look like they load but then the screen is too small and it locks up intermittently. It's a pity because I really like the Emulator X but without support or updates it's a mess and I've been forced to move on. Luckily a lot of good options out there but I miss the years of work I put into EmulatorX.

You might want to check out this fix for the effects if you are using X3:

In what DAW have you loaded Emulator X3 ?

I'm still on Windows 7 running Cubase - I think it was flaky in 7.5, then worked in later versions and now doesn't work in 9.5. But it seems to be ok in Bitwig.

Wonder if one can load the Emulator banks in HAlion 6 ?

You can load everything into Halion that has a proper File Format.

I downloaded all the Banks from somewhere in .exs-Format and it worked fine.

Returning to this - now on Windows 10. It didn't work in Cubase 10 but now seems to be working again in 10.5

I could not get Twista loop to function right.

When you make different loops from an original loop sample, when you select between the different loops highlighted by the yellow cursors ,they don't play unless you highlight the original loop in pink.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'd love to know how to get the Library working in Cubase (v11). It works fine in standalone mode, and remembers the library when I restart the Sampler. But in the DAW, no dice. Plugin loads as an VSTi fine, but no library. Super frustrating as it sounds so nice :(
