Best live world wide audience f**k up ever
I only got to watch little bits off and on. I think my dad was watching football or something. All that mattered to me was that I got to see Duran Duran... I was a huge fan. Even if he did mess up that one bit, it was a real thrill for me to see them perform. I’ve seen them live a couple of times since then, and it never gets old. I can’t recall which other parts of Live Aid I watched that weekend, but I’ve seen most of it on YouTube since then.
I remember at my school it wasn't the done thing for males to admit to liking Duran Duran :scared: :scared:
Same at my school! I was only supposed to listen to Led Zeppelin or Def Leppard or Van Halen.
I don't remember being told what to like, so much. It seemed to be that any band that girls would have posters of on their walls, was a no-go, on account of it 'clearly' meaning you were a p**f. Of course, no one batted an eye-lid when us impressionable lads were really getting into Frankie Goes To Hollywood :scared:

and it might have worked if bono wasn't satan.
Give him credit where credit is due though - he does have a world record registered at the European Fecal Standards and Measurements office that weighs 9.5 courics.

Really? My interpretation of Live Aid was it was one of the pivotal events in commercializing the music industry. I think a lot major label companies benefited a lot financially from Live Aid.

I think the industry was well commercialized before 85
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Commercialization of the music industry probably started on radio, long before anyone thought of broadcasting events that big on TV.
