Too bad that Propellerhead's products are only available to Apple users - at least that's the strong impression that I get when I watch their videos.
I guess that a cliche bearded hipster in an industrial loft would not look cool enough with a Windows laptop.

Totally get where you were coming from with that.telecode wrote: Thu Mar 28, 2019 10:31 amThanks. I didnt know about Tiger.
btw.. the post was a joke. or attempt at a joke.
She has that accent that didn't exist in America 20 years ago, and does that 'vocal fry' thing all the time.
Usually when I hear that accent I think of girls from the southern states or the Mid-West. Did a quick check, and she's from Dallas...

Can you elaborat on that 'vocal fry' thing? Not familiar with it. Is it the vocal infection that is heard at around 0:05 here, at the end of "...you can afford" and then at 0:35 with "..and own tomorrow"?Deep Purple wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2019 1:19 pmShe has that accent that didn't exist in America 20 years ago, and does that 'vocal fry' thing all the time.
That was Tiger's 1st video for Props and I found it incredibly sexy

I don't know man. To me she just has a bit of this going on when I hear that voice on Reason products. Not too much and not over kill, but just a slight bit. Just enough to make we want to go to starbucks and buy a $20 latte.antic604 wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2019 2:41 pmCan you elaborat on that 'vocal fry' thing? Not familiar with it. I am not a linguist, but there is something in the way she annunciations her r's . You can kind of hear it if you listen very closely to the words "afford" and "computer".

And just for that, i got to give her some money love and will listen to her stuff on spotify for a bit.

It's that thing where the voice is pitched down towards the end of each sentence which makes it sound slightly hoarse. Apparently it's a favorite of those pointless celebrities the Krapdashians, and is a trend being picked up by more and more American girls:antic604 wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2019 2:41 pmCan you elaborat on that 'vocal fry' thing? thanks in advance...
I've actually thought a lot about this sort of thing before -- how my reaction to any given random forum dude -- especially one who makes grandiose assertions about things X, Y and Z -- can be helpfully put into crystal-clear perspective if I find a link to their music in their signature, or elsewhere. There's just something about reading a dude's blathering rants about how sure he is that thing X is vastly inferior to thing Y, and then hearing his music made with thing Y, and realizing it absolutely blows. The need to engage, to argue, to quote and attack, etc, is suddenly mitigated greatly, and if anything, I just feel pity.
If, on the other hand, dude's music is Really Damn Good --well then, maybe he's on to something about the qualities of Thing Y after all![]()
In short, I'd much rather judge the veracity of someone's forum arguments based on the quality of their actual music than, well, anything else. The circles of aggro shouting that are so common here would be much better resolved in a battle of Tunes, after all, that's what we're all here for, right? To make music!
the ACTUAL music does not lie...
I really like Reason, especially for its beautiful clean&uncluttered interface that is a joy to work with - but it is a fact that Reason lacks several rather rudimentary functions/features that most of (if not all) its competition have had for years (if not decades). This lack can often be a real hindrance on the way to a good production and if you haven't come across them yet I want to hear some of your music.
You certainly do not need to listen to mine though while we argue whether my claims above are true. Hard facts are hard facts.
