Sorry, do you mean Valhalla Delay doesn't have wet/dry control?Vortifex wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 4:34 pm I am hoping that the apparent omission of features on Valhalla Delay that I enjoy on PSP Echo are going to be more than made up for by its sound and the choice of models. Not having separate wet/dry controls, ducking and separate panning/width controls will feel like a step back though.

no, he means it doesn't have *separate* wet and dry controls. a two-knob approach allows for greater flexibility in the overall mix between wet and dry (a single knob, though common, provides a forced ratio).david.beholder wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 7:43 pmSorry, do you mean Valhalla Delay doesn't have wet/dry control?Vortifex wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 4:34 pm I am hoping that the apparent omission of features on Valhalla Delay that I enjoy on PSP Echo are going to be more than made up for by its sound and the choice of models. So the model of "Echoboy regularly sells for $199, but on sale now for $49, act fast" is somehow better than just pricing a plugin at $50 with no sales? Fifty bucks is fifty bucks. What's a more honest approach?scpstu wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 5:24 pm $50 no sale ever, period? Lol i'll stick with sound toys echo boy

Thanks for clarifying.mholloway wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 7:55 pm no, he means it doesn't have *separate* wet and dry controls. a two-knob approach allows for greater flexibility in the overall mix between wet and dry (a single knob, though common, provides a forced ratio).
If person wants separate levels they could do it in 1 click in ableton effects rack and I guess in other daws too. So looks like dry/wet is to only control plugin need.
Where one can see screenshot of UI or it's still only for better testers?

There's nothing dishonest about sales. If you really need the plugin, you buy for the initital price. If you don't, you play it smart, and wait for a sale. It serves the human nature, nothing more, nothing less. A constant price doesn't serve human nature. It serves a idealized human nature, which does not exist in reality.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:04 pmSo the model of "Echoboy regularly sells for $199, but on sale now for $49, act fast" is somehow better than just pricing a plugin at $50 with no sales? Anyway, let's keep this to talk about the plugin, no philosophical questions.

I'd love to talk more about the plug-in, but I'd need to be able to use it first.chk071 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:08 pm Anyway, let's keep this to talk about the plugin, no philosophical questions.![]()

Don't put it on a send bus too long , it may hurt the plug's feelingschk071 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:11 pm What's the downside of use of a send effect vs. a insert effect, apart from having effect channels?

If you only use one delay in a track, it's not too much of a stress to send your channels to a bus. However, things start to get really unwieldy when you want to use multiple different delay configurations, and you need all these redundent channels/buses hanging around.chk071 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2019 8:11 pm What's the downside of use of a send effect vs. a insert effect, apart from having effect channels?
But, for me, the biggest reason for favouring inserts is being able to save the whole effects path as a channel strip
