Does someone knows of any reverb VST with a parameter similar to Glide in Comet?

Today we had some server upgrades and experienced some issues, but now everything is fixed (and the website should be faster too!)sonicpowa wrote: Wed Apr 03, 2019 1:08 pmRegistering to newsletter didn´t work (Chrome or Edge) it shows HTTP ERROR 500.AssafDarSagol wrote: Sat Mar 30, 2019 7:41 pmp.s.

Btw, We have been receiving some AMAZING ideas by users who tested out comet, and we'll be implementing them this week.
I am VERY excited about those ideas, and it is truly a wonderful experience to have our users directly affect the end product for the better.
Brace yourselves for some truly out of the box features on Comet's next beta version.
Keep those ideas flowing, as we make comet even better for everybody.
Many thanks and love,
Assaf

Testing it now. Gotta say, that saturation does sound very nice, especially when you darken the tail up with a considerable amount of hi-damping. Yeah, there are more "natural" sounding reverbs, but hey, Polyverse WAS very up-front about this NOT being an ordinary verb from the outset. Daddy likes

I liked it a lot but hard to pay $100 for one reverb nowadays (for me anyhow)

I agree that it does need some new features though to be worthy of that final $150 pricetag. I suggest some ducking. The animated comet that illustrates the behavior of the reflections indicates some sort of transient detection under the hood, so there's already the potential for an envelope follower right there. I'm not a huge fan of that "timewarp" effect that happens when you slowly move the "Size" knob, which is the only reverb parameter that you'll REALLY notice when morphing between presets, so I think preset morphing should be advertised as just another interesting feature instead of a major selling point.
I think Comet's strength is its infinite feedback. We've all heard dozens of "Freeze" algorithms that try (and fail) to create this sort of thing. Comet pulls it off very nicely. Would be nice to place the saturation stage within the feedback path; it seems to just be on the output; I might be wrong. But I love the beautiful sound of audio destruction that happens when tape saturation slowly chews on the feedback until there's nothing left but mangled noise.

another feature that i'd say is rather unique to Comet is a modulation scheme, called "Detune" here. nothing really similar comes to my mind.

Anyone is able to really have a true infinite decay time? I can't. Even if I put it the decay time to 100% as supposed, the decay time fades slowly to finish without a sound after a minute or so. The sound is not 'frozen' nor sustained for infinity. What's up with that?

You're right, it's not truly infinite. But it's long enough to record about 20 seconds, drop in a sampler and loop it. That's good enough for me.

just run a few tests while bustling around the flat to make sure. the decay at 100% is infinite. however it's not a "freeze" it's more a self-oscillation. low and high dampening still works and if turned up will make a level gradually go down. Detune if above 0% will cause gradual shifts in spectrum that may cause fluctuations in decay level.Neon Breath wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2019 4:48 am Anyone is able to really have a true infinite decay time?
