Guys, looks like the Piano View had a really serious bug -> note indices messed up when removing notes, which could result in all sorts of bugs. I just fixed that one. Now going through the other issues reported.

Buffer size a multiple of 16 samples is necessary for SIMD. I remember having changed the code for variable size buffers (the engine adjusts internal buffer size dynamically to a multiple of 16 samples). I will visit that code again when working towards SM3.
I know, it´s a pita with that ludicrous idea in FLS...

But thx anyway for trying (or perhaps trying :D )

Bulent,

here is a video showing SMOne lag in FL Studio. As you can see in the video when Synthmaster is playing piano rolls is stuttering, also DB level meter, but when i turn off the GUI of the plugin the lag dissapears and when i open again the GUI it starts to lag.

Also i found another bug. If i drag and drop modulation matrix destination, all modulation source highlights themself until i select anything and even if i select none still source becomes highlighted (white color)

Windows 64 bit
no GUI

The GUI shows up on Windows. But the CPU usage is way too high. Will test further.

BTW, I did not turn on "use fixed size buffers" setting on.

I see you also have stuttering!

But fixed size buffers shouldnt do anything (and doesnt actually) no matter if its turned on or off. Its just something with the GUI of synthmaster that interfers. Some VSTs like older versions of Uhe Zebra, Hive, Dune also had this, but was fixed and now doesnt lag.

There's a lot of drawing going on, especially with the realtime visual feedback, so I can not offer a better performance right now :? EDIT: VSTGUI only draws the changed regions so I don't think it is drawing the entire window constantly.

NO im sure its some sort of bug, because :)

1. If i set SM One to be Bridged, there is no lag
2. Only to few people this happens
3. And there are instruments (like serum) that also present real time visual feedback and doesnt cause DAW to lag

will do a comparison with Serum. but if there is a fix it'll be after the official v1.2 release.

this is one of the worst companies to deal with... i really HATE the song and dance routine just to download and update the product and now you state there is a beta for registered users and we only get 404 errors from the posted link. and do you really think making the customer seek out their serial number each time you need to download the product saves you from piracy or something? certainly not... it only irritates the customer that actually invested in this mess. are you employed by ik multimedia? lol

Considering how much work is to create such a master piece of synth,I don't think nonstop complaining or insulting developers is exactly brave thing - no other vst synth under 100 euro is even close to SM1 as quality and options - never been more satisfied spending less than 20 euro(crossgrade)for anything at all.
Cheerz :)
