I make videos, so Final Cut Pro X and DaVinci Resolve. I don't know how creative that really is, however. I do use some video FX, so maybe.

Max/MSP/Jitter - more central to my work than any DAW can ever be...
Usine - just recently dicovered...
Mainstage - to get access to those Apple synths...
Pd - to port some patches to iPad and phone with MobMuPlat...
Peak - still for audio editing
Wavelab LE - if Peak doesn‘t cut it...
Hofa CD & DDP burn - burning and delivery
Davinci Resolve - for all Video editing needs (the free version)
Affinity Photo - fast for big images
GraphicConverter - fast for small images
Inkscape - for designing flyers and posters..
Darktable - for photos...
Firefox - for writing in time robbing forums...

Orb Composer... not regularly yet, but certainly it's a creative one.
Microsoft Visual Studio - for developing open-source game in spare time. That was before I actually got a job as a developer.
Mandelbulb 3D - to generate 3D fractals for wallpapers. Certainly creative, but time consuming. Great way to completely waste several hours :help: .

The sale bundle they came in was way too tempting to pass up, especially since I used to do a lot of editing with Adobe Audition (I loved working with the spectral editor, great tool for learning audio).

Outside of music, I do a lot of writing. My application of choice is Scrivener. If anyone has complex text projects to work on, I highly recommend it. You do have to do formatting for final print in something like Microsoft Word, but Scrivener is amazing during the organizational and creative stages.
YES! Scrivener is my most used app outside of Logic. It's my Digital notebook for all of my writings. Fantastic tool!

Staying on the musical side, I started using Mixxx the other day for the vinyl control to have some fun with scratching.

Guitar Pro for composing
Amplitube (standalone) for noodling around
Patch managers for my multifx (Zoom back then, now Boss Tone Studio)

Also freeware photo/video editors. Hitfilm, resolve, gimp, inkscape, etc.

I just discovered this...it's a full 3D rendering program on the cloud, in your browser. Not really sure if I have the patience to learn this... but it's there for those that might.
