you have to join the mailing list. the calculation for the voucher relates to the last 12 months of purchasing and rolls. I used to get $75 but now only get $50, for instance. Being on the mailing list gives you some other special vouchers as well.wagtunes wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2019 3:07 pmI have never received one voucher from PA though I own several of their plugins.SiliconDeath wrote: Tue Apr 09, 2019 3:01 pmIt's true that ideally it's good to wait for them to have sale (to avoid license fees from buying second hand), but more often than not you can also buy most of their stuff second hand/used for very good prices (either from here, GS, or even FB). Especially if you have monthly voucher, you can use it to cover transfer fees for 1 or multiple plugins (depending on the size of your voucherwagtunes wrote: Mon Apr 08, 2019 9:37 pm Except if you go to the Waves site almost everything is on sale. Not so with PA. Most of their stuff isn't. You have to wait forever to get something on sale. I'm still waiting for one thing to go on sale that hasn't for a year at least.) , but I think there are sometimes when you can find someone selling something for so cheap, that even if you didn't use a voucher, it might still be cheaper than PA's best sale.
I've got most of my PA plugins second hand, I think it's really cool way to build up a collection.![]()

I'm a little sad that this is a new synth without MPE/Multichannel MIDI. Really tasty analogue emulations are the ones that really sing with MPE and a controller like the ROLI. It feels like newly coded stuff should at least support multichannel MIDI today.n

It’s going to be the old “try it for 14 days and once it’s grown on you, we will tell you the price so you feel you have to buy it” job

Yup. But i don't see this as a real problem.
Either you are set with you current setup so you don't even have to demo this at all (this early), or you are more or less in for a new synth / a SEM is missing in your arsenal.
If you're not happy with a $300 price tag, which it likely will have, there are either cheaper alternatives, or either wait until it's getting a sale, or you get some nice vouchers.
I don't have a VA VSTi at the moment and am actually quite intrigued. If the price is right, i might be getting it at some point.

Based on this on gs and an educated guess, I think the heavy hitter will be $99.

$150 is actually a good price, 200 still ok-ish. I'm actually quite surprised.
Will test if i really need it over something like Noisemaker as i've never tried a SEM before- be it hard- or software. Though i was always lusting for an AS Telemark after hearing demos on Youtube.
Though Bazille does “standard analog-ish sounds“ fair enough as far as i'm concerned, despite being “unashamedly digital“ (or something like that)

Just saying this is a trick. The sigaret paradigm. Why is it so hard to stop smoking? Because the misery is in the future and the joy is in the present.
Of course they had to adopt this in commerce.

Frankly, i think this is a totally wrong point of view. Noone has to buy anything. As a customer, you are 100% responsible for what you buy, and also, on what you get hooked or not. I think this kind of thinking is even dangerous, because you're willingly turning yourself into a slave of commerce, without any need to do so. Although, in the end, a lot of stuff which i read here on a daily base somehow suddenly makes sense.
Don't be a slave though, please (or a victim). Be responsible for your own actions. Noone is to blame but yourself, with this kind of weak-willed attitude.
