Best Audio editor? Looking for one with a browser

I'm a long time Sound forge user, and looking for a new alternative, something specifically with a browser for my audio files, loops etc.. that I can tag my favorite loops etc..
I can't find anything close to Sound forge in terms of audio editing which I love sound forge for, but it just doesn't have a browser.
Any idea's on what's a good alternative? I've tried resonic pro, but it lacks in terms of audio editing, zoom,etc..

Doubt you can find a combination as powerful as Sound Forge with an audiobrowser up to your specs. You can drag and drop from Resonic Pro so is there a reason you want it all in one app?

SoundForge is a very powerful editor. I often use the functions of regions, noise remove, split and batch converter.
When I am not on my computer, I always have a USB flash drive with: https://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html
But, unfortunately, this cannot replace SoundForge.

Convenience mostly, right on sound forge is an amazing editor. Just lacks the browsing and tagging options I would love.yellowmix wrote: Sun Apr 14, 2019 1:46 pm Doubt you can find a combination as powerful as Sound Forge with an audiobrowser up to your specs. Thanks , yes I gave Loopcloud version 4.0 a go, but right no where near sound forge in terms of speed and editing.SoundPorn wrote: Sun Apr 14, 2019 4:58 pm No audio editor has browser. Loopcloud is the closing thing you'll find.

Thanks for chiming in guys, I'll keep sound forge, but hope they offer a better browser with tagging options in the future.

Not sure what you mean by browser... it has an explorer form which one can preview and load files... just lacks a fav/tag option.
Try creating a folder with shortcuts

That's exactly, what I'm missing. The browser I use to dock,so it stays in place, but alot of times I like to revisit material and tweak it. This is where a tag based browser on top of an audio editor, would be amazing. I'll send a request to Magix

I don't know whether I have a clear idea of what you want, or whether this gets more complicated than you want, but, since Sound Forge loads VSTs, maybe experiment with a VST plugin that will let you browse, filter, and add attributes? A quick search finds this:

though I suspect that there are others.
