I have eight Waves version 9 and two Waves version 10 plugins
I use the Waves Central V. 10.01.3
I can install the two V. 10 plugins but not the other eight with are V 9.
I spent much time trying to figure this out but is seems that I need to get a version 9 Waves Central.
Is this correct?
In the Waves Central Install and Activate only the two V10 plugins show up.
In Manage License all 10 show up which are on the My License Cloud.
I email Waves but as of yet have not received a reply.

You can download the Waves V9 from their website & use it as an offline installer kind of thing!

Thanks.
Waves could have replied to my email asking for help.
Better yet Waves Central should simply have said Hey, use Waves Central V9 for your Waves V9 plugins.

I understand your situation. I was really pissed off when Waves V10 update was released and you had to update to Waves Central V10 to install V10 plugins, but then could not manage V9 plugins. Also, if you accidentally update your plugins to V10 using Waves Central V10 and you don't have the WUP, you are screwed. It does ask a couple of times if you want to really proceed, but it is like they did it intentionally, as a trick for users to buy WUP if that happened.Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 5:51 amSo to install Waves v9 plugins I need to use the Waves Central V9!TheProBeats wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 4:54 pm You can download the Waves V9 from their website & use it as an offline installer kind of thing!

As suggested, best would be to use offline installer and WC V9. But once you update to WC10 ever, DO NOT update plugins without checking twice that you have the WUP.

I am sure that they want me to buy the upgrade but the way they are going about is not proper. I will not forget! No more waves plugins for me even if they give them away. Let them test me!

I was never able to get this solution to work. I even had Waves tech support in a chat window stepping me through it, and the best they could do was to get the Waves v9 shell to show up as a child of the Waves v10 shell in my vst browser, but with no version 9 plugins displayed at all.
Ultimately, I caved and just paid for the updates to v10 on the ones that I use all the time.

You can also use the 9.3 installer, which doesn't install Waves Central 9. That's what i did for TrueVerb.
Not sure about the fuss here. Not that i find the Waves way of doing installation and the Waveshell great, of course.

While we're here, does anyone have advice on how to get "point release" updates on your V10 plugins without messing with the V9 ones? The website suggests that you can hit the "update all plugins" button followed by "don't delete old versions" but I'm a bit nervous here...
