Yes it is, from what’s been reported.

Post

I quite like the look of the design. Looking forward to this one.

Interface looks really good to me.

I wonder if we will be able to make complex (FM8 like) FM sounds with this synth though...

Post

Yes, you would, because you can FM between wavetables, which FM8 can't do. :)

Interesting!

Will Massive X be working inside Reaktor (i.e. will I need to do an update, think I have 5) or a stand alone install VST etc. ?

If you have Reaktor , you should know that it is not a vst host .
Massive 2 will be released as a vst NOT as a reaktor ensemble
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

I rarely use it so forgot, though maybe one could be forgiven for thinking that as some synths operate within that environment and not as individual seperate plug ins. Thanks for clarifying, this is good news.

I mean it’s a legitimate question.
NI haven’t released a Non Reaktor New Synth since...

...Massive I think :hihi:
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

I see some nice innovation so my hopes are up for an interesting synth. Hopefully we can make our custom skins (prefer a dark theme). I hope this will be part of the summer deal. (Massive X was release as part of the komplete package back in 2018 so according to their standard policy this 'should' be part of the summer deal).
i bet there will be no custom UI, no custom wavetables and no deal on komplete this summer.. :/
I'm also afraid there will be no deal this summer. :( But we will see...

Probably not. But apparently there will be a discount for Massive owners. So if you own a Komplete bundle, I guess there will be a discount for Massive X.

where did you read that ? from what i read there will be FM mode in both oscillators but no FM from Osc functionnality where wt osc can modulate each others.

I plan on getting Komplete as a upgrade for my Komplete Select on Black Friday anyway, so, i won't have to worry about Massive X's price, or, if there's a upgrade option from Massive. ;)

Post

I suspect most people who get Masive X will be getting it as part of a bundle, NI's upgrade process dont always make a lot of sense unless you get a bundle (like Arturia, for the cost or 2-3 singles you can have everything!)

Also, Hive 2 (and a sensible upgrade price of $20 from Hive) may steal a little glory from X coming out first an' all (assuming it does)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, Studio One, BWS, Live 12. PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro 3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
