a 4 note Grandmother for $2000 USD....
https://www.guitarcenter.com/Moogfest.gc

Nice but overpriced in my opinion (shock!), but of course some people will always buy MOOG and to some people the sound may be worth it.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, Studio One, BWS, Live 12. PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro 3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Never going to buy it, but it can still be interesting :D

I like the Grandmother and I think it is pretty good value- I considered it but have been lured in to the new cheap world of Beringer analog synths....(DM12, Neutron and Model D so far - waiting to buy Oddesy as soon as it comes out)

I think they should have got this out for like $1200 and it woudl have also been decent value for a premium product, but they just always seem to push their costs based on the brand, its a shame as I agree they have interesting products (I have the Mother 32 and DFAM in a mini rack next to my Eurorack...I think I paid £500 for the Mother 32 and now Beringer have the Crave for under £200 which is essentially the same type of product, possibly even a bit better!)

+1

Waldorf Pulse 2 is my next purchase but after that... I think Behringer offerings are too tempting. Many B synths in that 2000€

Post

Yup- the Behringer Vocoder VC340 and Behringer MS-101-RD (A full sized analog 101 'with FM' for just over £250 with mod grip and strap!!) https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_ms_101_bk.htm

- Still waiting on the Odyssey- it is probably the synth I most wanted to own an original of, and I think B have actually 'improved' it (Fx and sequencer) whilst getting that iconic sound 100% (according to almost all side by side reviews) and they are putting it out for under £400 with a high quality full sized keys!

May tempt you away from the Waldorf Pulse 2 :-)

To keep the thread OT ;-) - I wish Moog actually made those 'fake' Grandmother style modules as individual Eurorack Modules- A poly 4 voice Moog OSC module would probably sell well and there isn't a ton of 4 poly analog euro modules!

This looks and sounds amazing, I think, and reasonably priced, although not what I'm really looking for at the moment.

That pirate guy is pretty annoying.

I think of all the recent Moog stuff, Sirin and Grandmother are closest to grabbing my attention.

Moog sure does like to stick to the tried-and-true, though. I was going to say they just don't innovate anymore, but Subharmonicon and DFAM were at least a little different, and Theremini was a bit of a leap (though it failed to popularize the theremin and purist thereminists didn't like it).

I was a little curious when I saw 4 voices, but then I saw the word "paraphonic". Nah.
