How much would you pay for an Alesis Andromeda "Reissue"?

As the subject says.
Would you be willing to pay a bit more from a small boutique outfit?
What kind of things would you want changed or added? I personally would love to see MPE implemented for it.
Do you think Alesis would sell the "rights" to someone else so they could have the original design schematics?

Regarding MPE: The original Andromeda is already good for some multi-dimensional things. I tested and played one on the Seaboard Grand. Thanks to its multitimbral design it responds to poly pressure and pitch. I don’t know about Slide though (CC74) as at the time (early 2013) there was only the Grand, which does not support Slide.

The original has a dual ribbon controller, so there is already some expression built into it.
I have an Andromeda, so I wouldn’t be inclined to pay huge sums for an emulation. A really great emulation, maybe $149 maximum.

As far as I remember, UVI sampled som Andromeda stuff for their "Synth Anthology". I have the latter, need to check whether I'm right though.

No. But it does have the totally unique ‘Advanced Rhomboid Suction Elastomer’.

as this is in the hardware firum, i assume you mean a hardware reisse...
if they could make it stay in tune and reduce the noise floor, might be worth doing, but i think it would be pretty expensive

I conducted a little experiment recently. I listened to some old '70s prog rock music that I like and imagined that it has been made using VST Instruments. My immediate reaction was ... I'm not sure I like this music ... and ... the instruments sound like Arturia recreations. I concluded that Software is not so different sounding to hardware. Hardware is not the answer imho.
