I notice there was a separate update for V Piano 2 as well- I think its an incredibly useful and underrated Piano simulation- I have Pianoteq as and Keyscape (in Omnisphere) but I am still using V Piano for the processed and more experimental pianos (particular the glass piano) and the basic Piano sounds are actually really good, better than most sample based instruments.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

That's brilliant - thank you!hibrasil wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 12:24 pmI've converted the CZ1, CZ101, CZ230S, RC10/RC20/RC30 banks for use with CZV here: http://olilarkin.co.uk/downloads/CZV_casio_banks.zipandrew71 wrote: Fri Apr 26, 2019 6:50 pm Sadly, the CZ doesn't appear to like my CZ230S sysex dumps. The CZ230S was my first synthesizer and has a special place in my heart. I used to have two of them sync'd over MIDI and used the internal sequencers to copy chart songs at the time. I'd like to be able to have those patches again.

Feel free to start the other thread.v1o wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:30 am Just read all 13 pages and didn’t learn anything new. I think in future there should be two threads. One for moaning about prices and upgrades. And another for discussing the new synths and exchanging tips & ideas.

Well.. So far... home run for me. All my prior saved patches came across (even my previously saved Pigments patches). The B-3 V2 sounds fricken great. There seem to have been some minor GUI enhancements all around. Everything sync'd up to my Analog Laboratory (as it had done with prior V Collection instruments)... so that's all great. I've run into a couple of (very) minor issues with controller-instrument settings, but those are easily worked around. Spent very little time with the three new instruments (well -- their presets, as i havent picked up VC7 yet) - but they sound ok.
Playing everything through Analog Lab so far -- dinking around with constructing set lists (Concerts). Seems like a very handy addition. As with prior versions Analog Lab mapped to my Arturia controller automatically - so even mutzing around with the three new synths I haven't purchased yet, allows me to adjust ~20 or so controls on the included presets. Enough to get a pretty good feel for them. The other ~20 or so instruments I do own, are fully editable as with prior versions of AL.
Question? Guessing the "Synthopedia" are inter-dispersed among the other presets. Havent see a way to filter those new ones. Maybe that's just the marketing term Arturia attached to all the presets of VC7? dunno -
Cheers -

V stands for whatever their marketing guys want same as "the best price ever." They are classifying V collection now into analog, digital and keys so are leaving it pretty open ended what they can add. Previously Spark was put in V4 but taken out of V5 anyway. The main difference this time is they only added 3 instruments instead of 4 but if the sales don't come in there's nothing stopping them from doing a V7 plus Pigments upgrade or a total collection upgrade.DocAtlas wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 1:57 pmThat's what I used to think, but I remember someone from Arturia saying in another thread that V stands for Virtual, not Vintage.fmr wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 9:06 am
V stands for "Vintage". Pigments is not a "vintage" instrument, it is a modern instrument, therefore, I doubt it will ever be part of V Collection. Same thing goes for any new instruments Arturia comes up with, as well as for the effects.
Still, I doubt that Pigments will ever be a part of V Collection, even if the sounds are are in Analog Lab

You only get a few of those new presets if you’re still on v6 unfortunately.jdoo wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 5:26 am The (3) new synths presets are in Analog Lab ... so they're playable. If I stumble into something that seems like a 'must-have' editing capability - I'll consider upgrading for the $199 price. For now . . . I can (probably) wait. For folks who don't already own Pigments, but have Analog Lab... they will get the presets... and some rudimentary settings changing ability.

Heh tried reverb fx in B3V, at maximum size and decay setting (also can add damping about 0.7), damn beautiful result. Arturia definitely should release such kind of fx.
Or at least add the same reverb in other V devices.

Exactly... a few dozen of the new synth presets. They're not my cup of tea, but I'll hold judgement until someone with the full instruments puts up some vids/examples. This was different from VC5-VC6... where we got all the VC6 presets (non-editable except the mapped controls). It made waiting for the price drop a little easier.mixtur.se wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 6:44 pmYou only get a few of those new presets if you’re still on v6 unfortunately.jdoo wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 5:26 am The (3) new synths presets are in Analog Lab ... so they're playable. That will probably be in "Three Effects You'll Actually Use."c_voltage wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:08 pm Heh tried reverb fx in B3V, at maximum size and decay setting (also can add damping about 0.7), damn beautiful result. Arturia definitely should release such kind of fx.

I really wish that their marketing scheme was sophisticated enough to allow for a more customized discount based on how long you have been a user. I've been a user since V2, and even though it isn't that much of a difference, it would have been more palatable if the upgrade was $149 rather than $199.
On the one hand, v7 doesn't seem to be a "I must have it now" kind of upgrade since I am still exploring the new instruments in v6, on the other hand, I am excited about the CZ, Mellotron and Synthi additions. I was seriously considering picking up Virtual CZ, and for Mellotron and Synthi sounds there are MTron and Xils Labs, but I like what Arturia seems to have brought to the table (as well as the integration within Analog Lab.) So I may wait until BF or Christmas time to see what pricing may materialize, or I might just bite the bullet before June 10.

I’m impressed with how Arturia launch not one but 3 new synths and update all the other 20 plus synths with collective integration to AL4 with no open beta and it all seems to work bug free....must have a good QA Process!
