Always wanted a mellotronizer :) .
Just loaded up an acoustic drum loop and the result is prefect lo-fi. Sounds amazing. Great job.
I'd like to hear that. :)

When the M-Tron originally came out, I suggested Gmedia to make it possible for users to load their own samples into the plugin. I assume I was just one of the many that wanted this feature, because after all these years Arturia is finally doing it. Right now when I'm in the process of creating some of my own Mellotron-like sounding samples using various plugins (such as Hornet Tape and Tone Projects Sonitex STX-1260) to transform clean samples into lofi samples. I'm going to load these into Halion 3, because of the disk streaming as I'm still on Windows 32 bit with limited RAM. Am I right the Mellotron V only runs on a 64 bit OS? Just like the Audiothing Reels plugin that I think would also be perfect for Mellotronizing samples.

Yes, Mellotron V is 64-bit only, as well as all the new versions of the Arturia instruments.

But it doesn't just "mellotronize" the samples. It has a great "stretch" algorithm which makes the sample to play with the same duration across the entire spanned region. This means that, if you are using a rhythmic phrase, it will play in sync no matter which key you press.

You can turn stretch off, of course, to get the usual sampler behavior.

Very surprised at how much I am enjoying the CZ - the presets are very inspiring to my ears. I have a lot of mellotron for Sample Tank which is good enough for my application (Arturia's is better with sample import) , the Synthi is emulating a synth that just doesn't inspire me very much AND it is a huge CPU hog especially if you are going use any polyphony with it.. but the CZ ... wow, love it.

c_voltage wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:08 pm Heh tried reverb fx in B3V, at maximum size and decay setting (also can add damping about 0.7), damn beautiful result. Arturia definitely should release such kind of fx.
Or at least add the same reverb in other V devices.
That will probably be in "Three Effects You'll Actually Use."
And that would be not joking expression this time for me at least :) Though i has a bunch of reverbs (ofcourse as each of us). As for this maxim regarding equalizers and compressors, it's really difficult for me to understand the difference comparing to ocean of already own.

I really like the sound of the Mellotron V. If I could ask for a feature request, it would be something sorta crazy like granular synthesis. A granular Mellotron? Why not? :)

I like what they have done with the Mellotron, just as I like their DX7. Just like the Arp 2600 V, which maybe is not as accurate as the Way Out Ware version, but imo, is a lot more fun to use and sounds great.

How does this stack up against the Mtron Pro?

Tried Synthi demo now, and I'm at a loss - do it's really require initial press to keyboard for starting generate signal even with enabled pins in waveform>out ?? Or it's a bug
If it's not a bug, then sorry but it's no Synthi.

No shit!

If there was a "within 6 months" $99 upgrade, this time I'll wait another 6 days before upgrading!

The CZ interests me, but the Mellotron (for f**k's sake, it's just samples!) and the Synthi do not!

The Buchla, in V6, is merely amusement...I imagine the Synthi along those lines. I'll go play with Reaktor if I want interesting noise generators...

If you don’t have V Collection 7, then Analog Lab 4 will only give you a few presets for the new Pigments, Synthi, CZ and Mellotron instruments, some 60 presets in total.
Compare to the 1500 presets added between Analog Lab 2 and Analog Lab 3.
Indeed, until Analog Lab 3, we got every single preset from V Collection 6.
Analog Lab 4 put an end to this, giving us merely 60 presets from the four new synths, maybe 10% of what could have been. Up until Analog Lab 4 you didn’t need to buy the V Collection to enjoy all its presets. Now you do.
Times are a-changing.
