Are the 218's pads sensitive and easy to hit or do they require more force?SLiC wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2019 6:55 am I highly recommend the AKAI MPD218

Personally I think AKAI have the best MPC pads and the 218 is no exception, I would say for the money they are exceptional.3ptguitarist wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2019 12:33 pmAre the 218's pads sensitive and easy to hit or do they require more force?SLiC wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2019 6:55 am I highly recommend the AKAI MPD218

@ 3ptguitarist looks like folks saved you a headache in the midi pad controller department , Id go for that APC MPD218 if I was you ... Presonus could fix the situation with a software update or add-on for the Atom , but for some reason I don't see them doing anything with it .

I already have a maschine mk3. I had been thinking about getting the atom alongside my kontrol s61 mk2 keyboard to use a controller for various reasons such as launching clips, but if the pads aren't assignable then does that mean I wouldn't be able to launch clips and do other customization with the controller as the mpd 218 possibly would be able to?fedexnman wrote: Sat Apr 06, 2019 2:04 pm @ 3ptguitarist looks like folks saved you a headache in the midi pad controller department , Id go for that APC MPD218 if I was you ... I want something compact and something that has velocity and pressure sensitivity in case I play drums on them.fedexnman wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2019 2:27 am Why not get a used Maschine Jam ? Or a used Novation Launchpad ?

Presonus don't typically reveal what updates there may be to Studio One prior to an imminent release which lands from the beginning to the middle of the last third of the month. It will be pretty much a showcase of hardware they have, and the current version of Studio One.SeeingInMidi wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:25 am Bumping this thread to ask if presonus is attending this years superbooth. Previously there has always been a free .5 release before the big one....I am expecting 4.5 anytime with expanded ARA2 integration.

As I understood it ARA2 was going to be further integrated to allow the transfer of stuff like chord information.
