Let's see...
As a kid the first thing to inspire me to get into music was seeing Are 'Friends' Electric? on TOTP.
The first single i ever bought was We are Glass. Wore it out on the turntable - even played it bakwards to see if there were any hidden messages.
I bought a Roland SH-09 because i wanted a synth (couldn't really afford a ARP or Moog back then - and Jupiter 8's cost as much as a small car).
My fave album by any artist is Dance.
Draw your own conclusions as to whether i like him or not
Mr A
PS. Everyone owes it to themselves to try his album "Dance" - it really is a lost gem full of unbelievable ambient textures and great songs.

HI
Apparently (one of them stories that may be bull?) Gary was very nervous during his early gig's due to having little technical ability on the keyboard and I believe much of the live playing was done by others.
Beyond that my mate - back in the day, used to embarass 'US' by dropping in to show off his MAKEUP prior to going on to his Numan concerts!
At the end of the day the guy has had a lucrative career and pleased many, so good luck to him with his current renaissance.
Flipper.
