In this video, I provide a basic introduction to SFZ – a free sampling format that provides a lot of the same functionality as Kontakt, albeit with a far more basic UI.
A link to the toy xylophone sample I created in this video can be found in the video description.

Ha, I see the new SFZformat site's showing up in the video already! Can we add this to the video tutorials on the site?
We've also just set up a Discord for SFZ talk including adding more stuff to the site, and SFZ talk in general. https://discord.gg/t7nrZ6d if you (or anyone else) wants to join us there.

Good video!
You're introducing SFZ - everybody who doesn't know what SFZ is
should see this video. You nicely prescind the advantage of SZF being
just a "text-file", so that there's a fast access to the sample settings.
The good thing about SFZ: It's free non-proprietary format, not
depending on any company. And every newby can immediately construct
simple sample-settings - as you show in this video.
But although SFZ may appear simple at first, it is capable of most complex
multisample settings with multi-velocity-splits, sample-crossfades,
round-robins, mute-groups etc.
Yeah - SFZ is IT!
