From the 2nd May to 4th July we have teamed up with our friends at Venomode to offer the DeeQ, Maximal and Pivot Plugins for FREE
The Sonarworks one however is definitely more an extended 6 month demo though ...
Interesting.
What I see on their website is this:
"... This month we’ve teamed up with Venomode to offer not just one, but three plug-ins for you to try before 4 July,..." (emphasis added)

And then when I Googled venomode plugins I found this:
https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/partne ... mber-offer
Where the say:
"... From now until the 4 July 2019 you can download trials of Venomode DeeQ, Maximal 2 and Pivot as well as get 50% discount on the whole Venomode on-line store." (emphasis again added)

I don't want to bother downloading this stuff if they are just going to be trial versions that I am not going to end up buying.

Bought Pivot a few years back and it’s a pretty good tilt eq with m/s capabilities, which with the half off
It’s only a tenner

3 plugins as full version + a discount ? Thank you, Venomode, that is very generous ! :tu:
Did anyone try the maximizer yet ?

Post

It's as clear as mud whether these are full product or demo. Use of word 'try' on Plugin Collective info page but '.... offer the DeeQ, Maximal and Pivot Plugins for FREE' on my account page. I've downloaded and installed with license codes. The plugs are 'NFR' on the Venomode account page, no hint they are just trial versions.

OK, my mistake. These are the full versions (only NFR for obvious reasons), and they are pretty cool plugins!
Even though I already have a ton of stuff like it, maximal is fun. Not so sure how I feel about tilt EQs in general but Pivot is very useful with the M/S features.
But Deeq is amazing! What a handy little tool. It can really make a kick drum thump or bring out details rhythmically in any part of the frequency spectrum. I can see it being really fun for special effects but also super useful for basic mixing purposes.
Oh, how wrong I was Focusrite. Long live the plugin collective!
Super grateful for all of the useful tools over the years.
And thanks to Venemode as well. A developer that is now certainly on my radar.

Post

Local Man: for what it's worth, I don't think it is your mistake. Instead Focusrite was indeed a bit unclear. Anyway: let us be happy that they have now found their way again! :)

This should help raise Venomode's profile. Big thumbs :tu:

I see last month's offer of d16 Nithonat in my account, but not the Venomode offer. Is there any reason why this would be? Anyone else not seeing the new offer yet?

Hmmm Venomode is kicking up all kinds of warnings from Bitdefender. Blocked me from going to the site to register and throws up warnings even in a Google search. Not sure I need any more plugins enough to bother with this but thanks once again to Focusrite. They have been quite generous.

How strange, running Bitdefender here and no hint of a warning popping up or logged (visiting the site or downloading & installing the plugins)

Post

Never had a problem with venomode, no doubt a false positive. The only problem here for me,
is that I already have all of these plugins...

I'm begining to wander what plugins you don't have :P
;)
BTW.. thanx for the shrimp recipe.. I might try that soon as it reads well.

Has it been confirmed that we get full version, because the blurb on Focusrite looks like try versions expiring in July?

Oh well I'm not going to worry about it. I checked the plugins here at KVR and they aren't anything I need. Still appreciate Focusrite's generosity. :tu:

Heh, well prior to spending all my money on Eurorack, I was spending it all on plugins :D
I have like 1500+...

No worries about the recipe, it's always quite popular when I make it for others. Especially,
the ladies  It's reminiscent of a stroganoff, what with all the sour cream. If you're not
a fan of the tang of a good beef stroganoff, you might find it similar.

I may post something a little more ethnic and unusual at some point :tu:
