from the looks of it you forgot to run ". setenv_linux.sh" in the repo root directory (it sets $VSVR_BASE_DIR which is apparently empty in your build attempt)
Holy Fong, I did forget. :dog:

Thanks, sorry for the noise. Back to the build.

Best,

Same as in the standalone. You either right-click on the plugin (inside the VCV) and select "Delete" from the context menu or click on the plugin and hit Del on keyboard.
Obviously a computer still can’t throw a television out of a hotel window or get drunk and be sick on the carpet, so there is little danger of them replacing drummers for some while yet. -- Nick Mason

To be precise: You just need to hover the mouse over a module, then press delete (just like in VCV Rack).

In case someone missed these VSVR specific editing features:
  • a parameter value is copied to the clipboard by hovering the mouse over a knob / slider, then pressing ctrl-w
  • the parameter clipboard is pasted by hovering over a knob / slider, then pressing ctrl-e
  • each knob / slider has a "mini undo": clicking the right mouse button reverts it to its last pre-edit state
  • a parameter is reset to its default value by double-clicking the right mouse button
  • a parameter value can be edited numerically by clicking into the (top right) param value widget, then hovering the mouse over the knob / slider you want to edit, then typing / editing the value + pressing return afterwards (the text widget stays focused)

I ran into an issue today so here's a head up. If you're not getting any output from the VCV plugin (as an VST FX) despite wiring audio I/O properly set the idle mode (second icon from the right on the toolbar) to Always Active. i had a situation (in FL Studio) where it remained idle despite receiving audio.

Btw thanks for the great work bsp804 and everyone else involved. Having mad fun with this thing.

I should send a HUGE thanks to bsp804! This was an awesome idea to port VCV Rack to vst while original one is not will be available until December this year probably. So here is my try to use this port as a musical tool.

by the way It seems to me (actually user in comment reported as well) that _effect plugin doesn't work well in the new build. But everything worked OK in the March build.

Post

hah! thanks guys for pointing out how to delete modules in the rack, which ofcourse do know how to do ;)
i was actually trying to find out how to delete an unwanted post after i had double posted here in the thread

just edit it to say double or some such.

Can you elaborate / provide steps to reproduce this ? The effect version works fine as far as I can tell.

Some module controls (buttons in particular) may not work while the plugin is idle but that is a known issue and not easily fixable when a module handles its controls in the audio instead of the UI thread.

as you can see no output signal goes through the plugin (red square)

all I can see is an error message that reads "410 Gone".

You really have to be a bit more specific / detailed with your bug reports.

..does not help very much. I have not encountered the issue you described before so there must be specific steps that need to be taken in order to reproduce this.

When you report a bug you should also include
- which DAW you were using
- which version of the plugin you were using (actually, please make sure to always use the latest version before reporting anything)
- how often the issue occurs (once in a lifetime, all the time, every now and then, ..)
- the .vcv patch file (PM me if you want to keep it private)

Thanks for the video, btw !

Have a look through these, although for VCV_Rack, I saw you also posted there and guessed you use both.
