Are you still on version 0.5? My Bitwig is modulating anything I want in Kontour...pdxindy wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 4:04 pm If I want to use Kontour, Bitwig's modulation system doesn't work with it. Almost nothing in Kontour is automatable.
Just give it a name (and save it as preset...) Is there a problem?pdxindy wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 4:04 pm Down in the Devices pane, the Bitwig shell only says Reaktor 6 so if the GUI is closed, I don't know which ensemble is loaded.
Little oddities are just that: little, nothing to talk about.pdxindy wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 4:04 pm There are lots of little oddities that hinder a smooth workflow.
Advantages in workflow are a "nice to have" nothing which would prevent me of getting a result!
And as you proofed above, sometimes its just a lack of understanding to develop a good workflow...
Remember those days when we had to slice the tape by hand to make an edit? I never thought about good or bad workflows as long a workflow was there...
I guess the fact that such a synth is a Reaktor ensemble is only a problem for preset junkies. The big Big no BIG advantage of that fact seems to be totally ignored: You can edit it and adapt it to your needs. For example I could make a MPE version out of Mikro Prism. If it would have been a closed VST, no chance!

Our friend Woody has dropped a YouTube video showing Super 8 in a Synthwave track.

We should send Woody to the KVR OSC to finally learn to do also the drums with the same synth...Teksonik wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 6:10 pm Our friend Woody has dropped a YouTube video showing Super 8 in a Synthwave track.

Nice, so a Curtis filter!EvilDragon wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:18 amThat's exactly what I meant. It's a ground-up remodeling of the same Prophet-5 that was used when Pro-53 was created.Elektronisch wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:04 amI dont know how it really is, but with English not being my native language as it is written it is said that:AnX wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 10:01 am
EvilDragon wrote: Thu May 02, 2019 2:56 pm the filter in Super 8 is actually a refreshed emulation of Prophet-5 Rev 3 that's in NI offices, which was the same one used while creating Pro-53 back in the day
Filter is pro 5 emulation wich was created from scratch using the refreshed Prophet 5 rev3 real analog hardware but the same one wich was used to model Pro 53 back in the day.
Maybe im wrong who knows

In 2019....the CPU hit from Reaktor is negligible. I get it, if you have hardware a few generations old, it may be an issue....but I've never run into a problem using Reaktor. And I use it a TON.

I do not hate this. I actually like the idea of VA warmth and character with modern flexibility. Not really something we didn't have before, but I'm enjoying it so far. Sounds nice. Great filter. I don't care for the way the reverb bangs around when switching presets though.

That was my reaction as well.
Mail from NI. A new synth! Cool!
Next thing I read was I needed to use it in Reaktor? My excitement went from 8 to 0 in one second.
I absolutely hate working with instruments in Reaktor. Or rather making my own presets. The preset handing in Reaktor was fine 15 years ago. Today it's just awful.
