Actually you do, but since it is all being 'baked' right into the exported DLLs it is much less of an issue than in the Reaktor case where nothing goes unless you have the 'editor' (i.e. Reaktor itself) installed.
And so you don't need "synthedit" installed on your PC..
A bit like saying you don't need a c++ compiler and associated libraries installed to run c++ VSTs...
However you need reactor to run ensambles or what ever they are called.

Guys. Let's not stray away from the original question too much. Which was... does this need Reaktor to run?

Wait, you've hung around for 20-odd pages and couldn't be arsed to look at the product page?

"Runs in the free REAKTOR PLAYER or the latest version of REAKTOR. Please see the the REAKTOR PLAYER FAQ."

Believe me when i say that it makes life much easier, if you happen to have a lot of NI's plugins. ;) I think i have about 24 plugins from them now, and, it's much easier to do a one-click install for each in Native Access, then to run 24 installers...

Sure, i don't like the idea to have dozens of such install managers of my machine either, but, it's definitely easier, if you have a lot of plugins from one vendor.

I echo all the negative comments about Reaktor, but I've had a little play and I think Super sounds super. Definitely has a wide sweet spot that's tempting me. I'm surprised NI hasn't developed an optimised/transparent VST shell for each Reaktor instrument, and updated graphics for resizing & retina resolution.

Yes, there is a way to do that :)

no, you dont

at no point is anyone asked to install SE, nor is it installed automatically

You don't at least not in the sense of doing anything more then installing DAW itself.

You simply install Reaktor FREE (called Reaktor Player) and you are good to go. These days people install anything to make their fav FX or Instrument run properly.

Example: jbridge. I needed to install it to run my 32bit plugins on 64 bit host.

Since i am not full of hate i did not come here to bash every 32 bit product or to claim jBridge is bloat. It's a gift actually. Even after i paid for it.

I can say same for Reaktor. It's a gift when you account what you can do with it.

But it's easier to hate - sure. Also it's easier to picture people are idiots because they don't think the same way you do (i do that all the time sadly).

Anyway synth is good. Lalala

Elektronisch wrote: Sat May 04, 2019 4:36 am People complaining about how hard and slow to use Reaktor and all that nonsense seems like have been using version 5 or older :dog:

1. When opening reaktor by default you have a browser opened and you can see all the reaktor instruments meaning no need to surf and search
2. With the latest version reaktor opens automaticly last play instrument. When i open reaktor it automaticly opens Super 8
3. In basicly every daw you can make a snapshot of instrument preset. I have made that with reaktor instruments and if i want Form or Monark or anything else i just select from favorite window in FL studio.
4. Browsing presets and managing them is actually easier then in Dune 3
Hey, why are you disturbing the hate boys with real facts? Bad boy!
Why does it make one a "hate boy" by having a different opinion? From what I see many of the comments are well backed. Positive as negative. Some people have no problem working with Reason synths. Some people do not like it so much. Personally I found it better to use Komplete Kontrol.

If an individual doesn't like an aspect of something, how does that turn you into a "hate boy"?

nope, you need the service thing for that too

no hate here, just stating facts.

Note that NA is just used for installation and authorization. It's not constantly running in the background.

In order to try this demo you have to download Native Access, register. Download Sevice center, download Reaktor player, update Reaktor player. Download Super8, Install Super8, open youre DAW, let it find the path. Restart DAW, Start Reaktor Player, search for the System 8 ensemble, load it and voila! Now you can try it! Easy peasy.
