I just released an update of TinyQ which uses IPlug-Youlean and thus doesn't have the splash screen and usage analytics required by JUCE's Personal license. Further information is available here and in the kvr DC Thread.

Please be aware that due to the framework change some compatibility issues with old projects may arise, especially when using AU. The links above will give more details.

Thanks!

OOhh, hello lkjb!

This is a really big step, because the sending of data to google-analytics
was a no-go for many. Congretulations on your new "tiny-eq-version"!

Id pay a modest amount for regular sized version with a frequency analyzer and the 3 different curve modes as the original i love the CW strip. Regardless i thought this plugin was frankly dumb at first til i actually used it and realized how handy a mini eq actually is on a crowded screen lol

Amazing that you got a handful of brilliant, useful plugins for a spare time coder. Could only imagine if u were afforded the time to craft something like a channel strip plug-in how good it would be

If you mean the plugin window size you can already toggle between three sizes which can be set as default size for new plugins by right-clicking on the size button or the frequency display window.
I also thought about a frequency analyser but didn't want to delay the update too much.

This sounds really good, very nice and simple to use. A few things that spring to mind that I hope you'll consider.

1. The bands should switch on as soon as you adjust gain on the dials, the same as clicking on the graph.

2. ctrl click or double click to reset the band to original position, or even better, ctrl click to switch between your setting and original setting.

3. output gain would be appreciated.

4. The shift modifier for finer control would be nice on the graph as well as the dial.

5. The option to display just the dials section or just the graph would be excellent, especially for loading a few channels and being able to eq them together.

Very nice freebie, I will use this in my next song and see how i get on with it. Love that it has 6db per octave filters.

Cheers for this! It's limited whilst remaining flexible which for me is the ideal kind of tool.

There's already a reset to default by double-clicking but as it turns out, it's quite useless as it resets to more or less arbitrary values. Switching on bands when turning gain is a good idea, I'll add that.

Nice one. Could you fix the resetting if possible please as that would be very useful.

What about the other points?

*One more, save as default setting would be nice as well so I could have selfs on default.

I'll stop there, thank you for considering the suggestions and the great eq.

Fixing the default parameters should be easy, default settings are a bit more complicated. Output gain was already mentioned, the main problem is where to put it on the user interface.
I'll have a look at your other points but won't promise anything. :)

Excellent ok :)

output gain - how about a small dial in the middle strip? Much better to have it on board than not for aesthetic reasons I think. Anyway, I'll leave those with you, looking forward to making a song with this.

Loading projects which use the previous version (1.0.2) the low band type is switched:

I'm sure the low band is supposed to be a peak, not a shelf.
VST2 x64, REAPER 5.977 x64

Also, the HP/LP slope knobs are a bit fiddly to use, they don't always move when moving the mouse (too slow, it seems) and the movement is quite erratic. No problems with the other knobs. Thanks for fixing the rotation direction with the slope knobs though :D

And also, nice that the plugin's not phoning home anymore :)

Thanks for the bug report, I could fix that (although it won't work after you resaved a project where an old state was loaded). I'm currently also adding further suggestions and will probably be able to release an update with a fix later this week.
I also noted the fiddly order knobs, especially when using the mouse wheel and will have a look about improving it.

I just released an update. There still no gain knob, but this will hopefully come soon. Since the plugin size can be changed in the menu, I though about toggling between size button and output gain knob.

The following improvements were added:
- fixed compatibility bug
- improved slope knop drag handling
- added fine-drag (shift key) for frequency handles
- added default settings (right click on settings

Thanks for the update, works as expected now :)
