Try to grasp the difference between "it sounds ok " and "it doesn't sound better than the other plugins I own".

As always there are two factors involved:

1. How the plugin sounds

2. How the plugin sounds in comparison to the other plugins available. (aka the competition)

I don't think Super 8 sounds bad it just doesn't sound better than the other plugins in my folder. Hence no purchase. Like I said if this was my first day in VSTi land I might be impressed.

And you can't access the core structure of popcorn once it's popped.

I'm not very familiar with NI philosophy. Do they implement new features along a synth lifespan?

But those saying that S8 it sounds like a generic plugin will probably never be able to separate a great sounding plug from a mediocre one .
Super 8 sounds fantastic , just one square osc into the filter and you'll notice it immediately ...this thing moves air .
A lot of detail went into the amp stage as well , it really sounds alive
Well don N.I.
I did try to play with the amp stage as well, but didn't notice anything special, besides the filter character knob. Would you care to share what you did found out?
I mean the modelling (non linearities ) of the amp stage , I might even buy it just to have a look inside the core strucure
It's not only the filters and osc's that make an emulation sound good .
Oh, I see. Yeah, I can feel the analogueish on it, but I always associate that with the filters, don't really know why.

realtrance wrote: Sun May 05, 2019 12:01 am Is this included in Komplete 12?
No. That's not how Komplete works. You get what's in the current version at the time of release. It might be somewhere in Komplete 13, where though, is anyone's guess, particularly now that it's a three (really four, or even five?) tier system.
Do you know if there is a certain time of year that they tend to release Komplete updates?

They have good spread sheet on whats included when and history. My guess is, as others have said, K13 it might be included.

My guess is, if they released K12 in Sept 2018. It should be 2020 when K13 gets released.

I think Ultimate Outsider ran out of time to keep the spreadsheet updated, so someone else has put a version on Google Docs that's a bit more up to date. The link's to the NI Forum thread where I saw it: https://www.native-instruments.com/foru ... -0.354699/

Their philosophy is to release new products that compel you to upgrade to the next komplete .. with exceptions here and there such as Racks. That said their products are usually pretty complete out of the gate. Expect only minor enhancements.

If you have Reaktor 6 you can add whatever features you want to S8.
