Why? The upgrade sale is likely to be end of June.
Upgrades are excluded in this sale. It's only for the full and competitive crossgrades!

I'm in - thanks for the heads up DrEntropy! At 140€ it was impossible for me to resist.

There's often a separate upgrade sale at the end of June /July.

Yes, as stated in my post...
Signatures are so early 2000s.

But why have a separate 'upgrade' sale, if you're celebrating ? Bring everyone together.

Steinberg wants to clearly show who they like an who they dislike. New customers are welcome, existing users are *****.

The upgrade sale at the end of summer is just there to grab some money from the existing customers before Steinberg releases the next full price update at the end of the year. It's not done to honor loyalty.

Post

That's the best sale from Steinberg i ever saw. If you ever wanted to buy a DAW from them, now it's the time, i guess...

Oh come on... Steinberg had lots of sales on upgrades as well.

Post

they actually - regularly (not every year) have sales on upgrades too!..almost never together with the full version purchases.

except the upgrades are $150 more

Post

There is no universal upgrade price, it depends from which version you upgrade.

Post

Really great price for the crossgrade, but I don't need or want a new DAW. If WaveLab goes half price I might take a closer look :)

Post

This is tempting. Do Cubase VSTs work in other DAWs or Maschine for instance or are they tied in?

I can finally ditch Protools
'and when we got bored, we'd have a world war...'

Post

Padshop and Retrologue work in other DAW's (you need a Cubase license to be able to use them though), everything else doesn't.

Post

Thanks, the cross grade might be worth for that alone
'and when we got bored, we'd have a world war...'

Do I need another DAW? NO!!!

Am I tempted by the crossgrade? YES!!!
