Brainworx bx_2098 EQ

Post

I'm kinda weirded out by the absence of the bx_2098 EQ plugin on KVR.
It's smashing on just about any material, it's CPU efficient, and it deserves some attention.
So here's a thread.

I love it.

It's a bit of aAAAALLLL Right!!

Come on, you know PA - give it a few weeks and you'll get it for $29.
Or $4 like I did, with my voucher.

I bought it for $23.75 during their sale in April, without using any special voucher. PA are like Waves - never buy anything at full price, because it will be 90% off sooner or later.

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Strangely, no manual. Had to duck and go to find the manual for the hardware.

Nothing on the PA site, either.

For the record, I agree with the op - it's a great all-rounder, it can go anywhere in a mix.
Oh yes, it DOES have that unique M/S feature!
But it is missing a gain output control. :(

Why would you need that on an eq?

So you can A/B without getting fooled by gain changes, particularly those caused by broad boosts. <Insert obligatory eyeroll here>
