That's bizarre! Did you have to fill out Steinberg's crossgrade form and to deliver proof of eligibility?

There is just no excuse for them not being prepared. This is the biggest discount they have ever offered.

They can't predict the response and it is a Monday so they have to process all the orders from the weekend for starters.

Not yet. I had to forward a copy of my iTunes receipt for LPX to the retailer. I hope there's nothing more to it than that.

Yes, I can tell you it is not very German at all. They should know very well how long it takes them to process 10 crossgrade applications, how much staff they have available for processing the incoming crossgrade applications, how many of these applications they receive normally and what possible influence a 50% off promotion has on the number of sales.

Also they should be able to temporarily add additional staff without problems.

Why not? The flagship version of their main product for significantly less than 200$?

I qualify three times, and I guess by now (with all the qualifying products existing at least for ~10years) a HUGE number of people will qualify at least once.
