Not sure. Maybe downloading the latest eLicenser software might help: https://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id=12892

backup... backup.. backup!! I am on a 2008 Mac Mini still. Waiting for it to croak before I move into a new system. Which may be a good thing given the issues i heard about the T2 chip stuff.
I have Time Machine running, and almost all of my most important Logic files have also been saved to DVD-Rs. So, I think I'm sorted for that.

Maybe I should've rtf'read me' about installation before I attempted it. All seems to be ok, now. I'm in!

Here's a shot of the download access code, which, it appears, is coded to the crossgrade.

So, mostly a painless process. I downloaded the 20 gb installer this morning when I was sleeping (3.5 hours), so if I'd read the instructions, it would've been 100% painless.

EDIT:

This is where I bought from. They still show as having it in stock. Others in Europe may be interested:

So, it costed you X euros (how much?) and a half nights sleep.
What are those instructions?

€179. and as I said, I was sleeping while it downloaded @1.6mb/sec. Didn't lose any sleep. :tu:

Isn’t € 179 more than most dealers’ price?
JRR, Plugin Alley?

I have no idea. Steinberg's own site prompted me to buy the dongle with the program (???) which would've come to €192. I'm satisfied with €179, which, coincidentally, is the same price I paid for LPX.

Do tell. I'm a S1 user but I did see some things in Cubase that I had wanted in S1.

I think a big factor of what happens with DAWs is how the thing feels to you when you use it. I had been a long time user of Logic—and for no reason I can explain, I just hate to mix in it. It's perfectly capable, but...

Coming from a former S1 user, I like the way Cubase handles track versions and multi-outs. It also crashes a hell of a lot less than S1 did.
Signatures are so early 2000s.

DVD-Rs??? I had a failure rate of 5% right after burning, they promised +20 years but the failure rate would increase every year significantly. 10 times worse than CD-r...
Go ahead, and copy all your DVDs to a hard drive or SSD (no, not USB sticks) its not only cheaper and needs a fraction of the space, its much more safe. For a secure archive take at least a double disk raid system. Do it now!!! DVDs don’t get better...
If a new technology arrives, keep the old archive and copy it over to whatever is that technology. Expect DVD drives vanish like floppies did... (I still have floppies from my FZ-10 I can’t read anymore...)

Strange. I've never had an issue with either cd-rs or dvd-rs, and I have some cd-rs that are more than 20 years old, now. I agree about the burners becoming obsolete, though.

Howdy, phoned them.
The €179 deal includes dongle (comes in a box).
I assume the conditions are valid with Thomann etc.

Not that far away from a cheaper US deal plus purchase of a dongle (in Germany).
