ES-8 vs FH-2

Hi all,

I want to connect a MIDI controler (Digitakt) to a modular set-up.

Is it possible to plug it directly in the USB port on the ES-8 ? (my guess is no, you need the FH-2 for that)

Is it possible to route the midi data from the controler to the modular set-up VIA a computer running Ableton live 10.1 that is plug to the ES-8? (my guess is yes) So the benefit of the DC coupled I/O of the ES-8 (crosstalk between computer/tablet and modular gear) comes at the expense of... having to plug a computer/tablet... right? lol

Anyway, I'll probably end up buying lots of ES modules !

So, I am right on both of my guesses ?
