Since we are on the topic of house music and vst synths, can someone tell me which vst's were used on these tracks? I don't care if they are 32bit (since they are over 30 years old.) I'm digging the vibe on these vst synths. :D

VST's didn't even exist until 1996. Steinberg Neon was the first VST instrument: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_S ... gy#History

Velltone, you like digital synths. That bass shown in the link is essentially an FM style sound as sampled and then filtered in an Akai s1000etc.

Nothing wrong with that but I too believe that you are showing a lack of understanding then pushing that outwards. I asked for some explanation of your position but you ignored it, only when it got specific to a cliche sound di you respond to a direct challenge to your position.

Do what works for you by all means but as a few have tried to say to you here, there is no House -non-House continuum when it comes to synths, fx, DAWs etc. There are merely synths and what choices you make around them. To be fair some synths and their patches lean more to one use than another but again that is choices and not some sort of law of nature around a baked in genre-sound per synth.

As an example: Sylenth tried so hard to be analog then leaped into the Trance space when the kids were calling it in their tracks. That meant that after a while all the 'low hanging fruit' sounds that you stumble into from Sylenth tend to have that Trance association. Synapse Antidote RE tends to be the same BUT if I separate myself from easy associations I can use it for all kinds of things that aren't remotely EDM in nature (all my music really) despite it not being a fave instrument for me.

:-)
Ok did anybody even watch the video i made in d middle of the night to clarify d idea - how can you make house using synth that can not make at least your favorite house sounds or let's say it this way can't give you more that just few of them already overused - aside from digital vs analog it's 2019 and i think requirement to a modern synths isn't just to play some sounds anymore - i was about to buy Korg m1 just because of this exact bass, which is one of most recognizable sounds i guess from classic era, then start to look for alternatives, there is free vst called Cristalys that first impress me ,but then play a bit with Synthmaster One and Hybrid and voila very interesting results...i guess everybody have different mood and preferences about style and sound, just i'm focused into house now, which i just touch on the surface before, that's why want to hear what other people saying ,everybody can slap few presets and say i am house producer, same with pop - i don't claim to have expert understanding, but have opinion based on my search and desire to create something useful for the genre.Cheerz :)

according to your website, you're a sound designer with years of experience

finding the right synth for the right job shouldn't be a problem for a man of your experience

Watched video. I noticed you are using cubase. If you want an even more house sound, try Ableton. With SM loaded into it, the song practically writes itself. :D

No Sylenth1 is dope, just for stuff it makes well, but its basic and lack of modulations send it to classic corner...
Dare to say i grow up significantly as ideas and technique last two years making huge amount of presets for advanced synths as both Synthmasters, but think to change the direction and policy - focus on small style or instrumental oriented sets, made precisely to prove myself as 'pro' with highest quality vst synths,i'm not the best designer in the world, but for sure one of most persistent :)
My biggest vst love will always remain Tone2 Firebird, which i know really well and still find very usefull(for house too),but things evolve in vst world and new synths are so powerful it's just pointless to waste time and money for like 10-12 limited when you can have more in just one.
Same with cars and women :)
Just point of view :)

The best house synth is the one with electricity, because I couldn't imagine living in one without it.
