When will EXT have internal plugin delay compensation? So one can make a bunch of routings inside ext without having to worry about phase issues??

I don't see it happening tbph it's bloody hard/impossible to do automatic pdc in a modular host, as various routings through common plugins often just don't add up the same. Would be cool if it did, but for now I think your best option is using something like the delay plugin from voxengo that lets you specify a very exact delay. This lets you push back the output from plugins back into phase with the most delayed routings (time to start adding up those buffers :\)

In a modular host that would be the best way. alternatively you could delay the rest of the tracks wtih another instance of the same plugin set to 100% dry. also it would save jorgen hours of fiddling with the code

hi guys!
i think PDC is needed only in the sequencer comp..
in a modular/live situation PDC means ..higher latency ;)..no good for live-playing...if an FFT thingie is needed in live situation we have to live with the buffer delay ;)

buffer delay is ok - but is there a possibility of ext having a feature where it can report the delay latency of each plugin??? would just makes thing easier than having to play it by ear everytime i adjust a delay buffer.

maybe you can use Kondor by Tobybear to check single plugins latency...but yes an integrated eXT solution would be cool ;)

 sorry, I mean are you using the VST instrument or the effect version?

I need to know so that I can upload a test version with pdc.

Ohhhh,,, :)

I am using the effect one mainly -- but sometimes the instrument version because that is needed for sidechains in logic....
