I got an offer to do some radio drop kinda stuff and I need a lot of really generic tv/radio type samples that can also be used in a music bed. I'd prefer if they were free, but I really don't mind paying for them. Any medium is ok. Thanks in advance!

There are loads and loads of soundFX CDs out there and they are pretty cheap too. Radio stations usually already have loads of them, maybe you can borrow some?
There are some free stuff on the web, but it usually not worth the effort of tracking it down. Its better to just spring for one of those collections.

If you're doing these for actual broadcast, I'd be VERY weary of just grabbing 'freebies' off of the web. Sound Ideas has a huge selection of sound effects cd's at all price ranges. http://www.sound-ideas.com I own the Geneneral Extentions Volume 1 and Captain FX I think it's called? You just need to make sure they're copyright cleared if you plan on putting it on the air. Hate to see someone get busted over a few sound effects that they don't have the rights to.
