Cubase: renaming roll events. Possible?

One thing that has always bugged me, albeit rather minutely, is the (re)naming of piano roll events in Cubase.
Let’s say I create an instrument track called Bass and create a MIDI event on that track. When I then copy that event to another track called say Lead, the piano roll stays named Bass.
Given I always just move blocks around in order to draw in MIDI this means every track has the same name on my projects. It’s not a show stopper by any means but it would be good to remedy if possible.
TIA

If you're talking about MIDI parts (not the notes they contain) then you need to make sure the "Parts Get Track Names" setting under "Editing" in the preferences is checked.
And that's the extent of my knowledge!

As simple as that. Just checked and it works too. Thanks!

Also, if you rename a track with parts with different names hold any modifier key when pressing enter and all the parts will take the track name.
